Student answer (Band 5.5)
In my opinion, it affects both the negative and positive because ppor people cant afford todays fashion they steal to get that dress or what to jump into the trends. Or they make loan to buy that dress or cellphone or what. In the other side it is positive because they see others culture or others trends if you have social media you can see the trends of other countries. Like boy dressing crop top or they put make ups in his face. Many people become more paranoid because they change their gender to fit the dress he or she wants. Just because you like that you dress that. In church also many people wear shorts and crop top or they called backless. They did not respect the church just to stay cool or go with the flow of the trends. If the parents is poor or they did not have enough money the children is pursuing to buy the fashion trends. That's why the children's become violent they did not respect his/her parents

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address both the influence of global fashion and its positive/negative aspects, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. The points regarding financial strain and social behavior are mentioned but not explored in a structured or academic manner. To improve, you must expand each point with clear examples and ensure the essay follows a logical structure (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) to fully address all parts of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks clear paragraphing, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of your ideas. There is a lack of cohesive devices (such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast') to link sentences and arguments together. The transition between the negative impacts of fashion and the positive aspects is abrupt. To improve, you should organize your response into distinct paragraphs—one for the causes of influence, one for the positive aspects, and one for the negative aspects—and use linking words to guide the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying on basic phrasing such as 'buy that dress' or 'go with the flow'. There are several instances of informal or imprecise language, such as 'what to jump into the trends' and 'or what'. The use of 'paranoid' to describe gender expression is inaccurate in this context. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use more precise, academic vocabulary related to sociology, economics, and fashion, and avoid colloquialisms or vague expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('children is pursuing', 'parents is poor') and incorrect pronoun usage ('his face' when referring to general trends). Sentence structures are predominantly simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and sentence boundaries. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
