Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 115 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay touches on the influence of global fashion and mentions that it is a 'good development,' the arguments are underdeveloped and lack depth. The response does not adequately explain how global fashion has become such a strong influence, nor does it provide sufficient reasoning or relevant examples to support the position. Consequently, the response is only a partial attempt at the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no paragraphing, and the flow of ideas is disjointed. Sentences are often short and repetitive, making the progression of thought difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are largely absent, and the transition between ideas is abrupt. For example, the shift from discussing historical clothing to judging people by their outfits lacks a logical link. To improve, you should organize your essay into clear paragraphs (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) and use linking words to connect your ideas more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple words like 'good,' 'clothes,' and 'people.' There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'we aspect from all of us' (likely meaning 'expect') and 'influence by global fashion' (should be 'influenced by'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas or demonstrate a higher level of language proficiency. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and synonyms to avoid repetition and enhance the clarity of your arguments.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('This is areally good development'), tense usage ('Before some year people wear'), and sentence structure. The range of grammatical structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There is a lack of complex sentence forms, which are necessary for higher band scores. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and pluralization, before attempting more complex structures.
