Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying the influence of media and expressing a clear negative stance. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention factors like cultural identity and labor practices, these points are not fully explored or supported with clear, logical reasoning. The argument relies heavily on subjective opinions about specific fashion trends (e.g., 'baggy jeans', 'pants down fashion') rather than a balanced analysis of global trends. To improve, ensure each main point is supported by a clear explanation or a relevant example that directly relates to the broader societal impact.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into two paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas, making the flow feel disjointed. For example, the transition between the discussion of labor practices and the critique of specific clothing styles is abrupt. Furthermore, the use of referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'Most of fashion are just scratch and messing up the with authentic dressing sense.' Improved use of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') would help guide the reader through your argument more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is somewhat limited and occasionally imprecise. You use informal or repetitive phrasing, such as 'terrifying stuff', 'weird', and 'messing up'. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'influence of global fashion have possessed people minds' (should be 'have captured people's minds') and 'influencing vulgarity' (should be 'promoting vulgarity'). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'cultural identities' and 'exploitative labor practices', the overall range is restricted, and errors in word choice occasionally impede the clarity of your message.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'influence... have possessed', 'every person want'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'In results its disaster of dignity and influencing vulgarity in the term of trend.' The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses and proper punctuation, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
