Student answer (Band 5.5)
The aspects of the way people dress now-a-days are greatly inspired by the global fashion trends. I strongly argue that global fashion has a significant influence on people's lives and it's a positive development. Sometimes, it has negative impact on human's lives.
In modern age, people are dressed well and this is due to global fashion trends and has a positive impact on humans. They learn this fashion sense from social media , TV, and many other platforms. When people dressed well they boos up their confidence and feel comfortable comparable to ugly clothes. Well-dressed people feels a different kind of feelings and they communicate with people without hesitation. People from one country can copy fashion trends from other country. For instance, some specific sector of Pakistan is greatly influenced by Korean dressing and Italian beard. Every second person wants to dress like Korean and our generation is greatly inspired by BTS army which is band of Korea. This has become the fashion industry and many influencers launch their brand to earn from this.
Despite, it has some negative impacts because when people see other people are dressing well they arise a desire to dress well however, they do not have sufficient fund to fulfill their desires. They arose people to do negative things like robbery, murder , drug supply and this is harmful for our society. We should start a awareness program simplicity is the most important thing that everyone should have because everyone is judge by their character not by dressing.
In my perspective, simplicity is much more important than dressing well and people look very attractive in it and save our society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the influence of global fashion and the evaluation of whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the link between fashion trends and criminal activity like 'robbery' and 'murder' is a significant leap that lacks logical support or nuance, making the argument feel forced. While the position is clear, the supporting examples, such as the mention of 'Italian beard', are slightly underdeveloped and lack the depth required for a higher band. To improve, focus on providing more balanced and logically sound explanations for your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Despite, it has some negative impacts' are grammatically incorrect and disrupt the flow. Furthermore, the transition between the positive aspects of fashion and the negative consequences is abrupt. While there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion, the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs more variety and precision. Using a wider range of linking words correctly would significantly improve the overall flow of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'boos up their confidence' (instead of 'boosts') and 'arose people to do negative things' (instead of 'encourages' or 'incites'). The repetition of basic terms like 'dressing' and 'fashion' limits the sophistication of the writing. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding informal or incorrect word forms. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Well-dressed people feels'), incorrect verb forms ('When people dressed well'), and punctuation errors. The sentence structure is often repetitive, and the misuse of articles and prepositions is noticeable throughout. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and tense consistency would be a great starting point for improvement.
