Global fashion trend has become essential part of modern life, influencing the way people dressed, shops and express themselves. This essay will elaborate the reasons behind this trend. In My view, although global fashion has some disadvantages, it is largely positive development.
One key reason of why fashion trend has become more influential is the rapid growth of social media. Platform such as Instagram, You-tube, and Tik Tok allow people to explore new cloths from different parts of the world within seconds. Celebrities often promote brands such as clothing, jewelry and accessories to adopt their followers fresh styles. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying social media and global advertising as key drivers and presenting a clear position on the development. However, the response is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas are relevant, the discussion on the negative aspects is quite brief and lacks sufficient development. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your supporting points with more detailed examples and ensure the essay meets the length requirement to allow for a fully developed response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction and body paragraphs. There is a basic attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Additionally' and 'However'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the benefits and the drawbacks is abrupt. The final paragraph is incomplete, which disrupts the overall coherence of the piece. Improving the use of linking phrases and ensuring a complete conclusion would significantly enhance the logical progression of your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'cultural exchange' and 'international companies'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'shops' used as a verb instead of 'shopping', and 'cloths' used instead of 'clothing'. Some expressions are slightly unnatural, such as 'greater recognition' for online shopping. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you distinguish between nouns and verbs correctly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'Global fashion trend has become' (should be 'trends have') and 'traditional cloths of India has becoming' (should be 'have become'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors throughout. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy of the writing.
