Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the task achievement. Because the essay is incomplete, it fails to address all parts of the prompt. The introduction is present, but the body paragraph is cut off, and there is no conclusion. The ideas presented—such as the influence of social media and celebrities—are relevant but remain underdeveloped due to the lack of length. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full response that covers all aspects of the prompt, including a clear position and sufficient supporting arguments for each point, while meeting the minimum word count.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows an attempt at logical organization by using a standard introduction and starting a body paragraph with 'First and foremost'. However, because the response is incomplete, it is impossible to assess the overall progression of ideas or the effectiveness of paragraphing. The use of cohesive devices is currently limited and mechanical. To reach a higher band, you need to develop your ideas into full paragraphs with clear topic sentences and use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') to connect your arguments logically throughout the entire essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and contains several awkward collocations and errors. For example, 'deep impact on follow their Attire' is grammatically incorrect and unnatural. Phrases like 'deep hearted fans' and 'big faces' are not standard English expressions. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas clearly. To improve, focus on learning common collocations related to fashion and social trends. Instead of using informal or non-standard phrasing, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary to convey your points more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the short text. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('many individuals have deep impact on follow'), punctuation errors (capitalization of 'It' in the middle of a sentence), and sentence structure problems ('the biggest influenced by social media to people follow fashion trend'). The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct word order. Proofreading your work for basic punctuation and capitalization errors will also help improve your score.
