Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address both parts of the prompt, the ideas are repetitive and lack depth. For example, you mention that fashion is a 'positive development' but fail to provide a clear, logical argument or specific examples to support this stance. The content is largely circular, repeating the same points about people wearing clothes from other countries without explaining the 'how' or 'why' behind the influence of global trends. To improve, you must expand your arguments with concrete examples and ensure you meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear logical progression. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'To commence with' and 'On the other hand', they are often used incorrectly or do not connect the ideas effectively. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is weak, with sentences often feeling disconnected or repetitive. For instance, the second paragraph jumps between ideas about Indian and Western dress without a clear transition. The referencing is also unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your train of thought. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a single, clear focus is essential.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use the same phrases, such as 'fashion trends are rising day by day' and 'people's lives', which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are also frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'well dress is a maintain people status' and 'others country people are wear Indian dress'. These errors occasionally impede communication. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to globalization and fashion, and practice using synonyms to avoid constant repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people are like new fashion trends'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'people are also try a new fashion trends'), and missing articles or incorrect pluralization (e.g., 'others country'). These errors are frequent and sometimes make the meaning unclear. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of tenses, before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for basic punctuation and capitalization is also necessary.
