In recent years, global fashion trends have become a subject of intense debate in modern debate. It is argued that nowadays several features of the way individuals dress are influenced by universal fashion tendency. This essay will not only discuss how global style has a strong affect on people's live but also discribe why it is a positive development.
On the one hand, today is an era of technology in which each and every individual has access to internet so that's the reason why everybody able to follow global trends nowadays. Moreover, the global fashion now always popping up on social media feeds so it appeals everyone espacially the teenagers who want to look impeccable in every situation.
On the other hand, from my perspective this is a positive development beacuse it allows us to stay in touch with the world. Moreover, it also alows us to stay informed that what other countries are prefer to wear. Furthermore, a survey conducted by the University of East Anglia's graduate in the year 2025 explained itself that 90% of sucessful businesmen are those who follows global fashion trends. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying the influence of technology and social media and arguing for the positive nature of global fashion. However, the essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. The arguments, particularly the reference to a specific survey, lack depth and logical support. The conclusion is overly brief and does not adequately summarise the main points. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure the response meets the length requirement to allow for full development of your position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which is a positive feature. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore' to signal transitions. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes mechanical, and the connection between sentences is occasionally weak. For instance, the transition between the influence of social media and the benefits of fashion in business feels abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus that flows logically into the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'universal fashion tendency' instead of 'trends', and 'strong affect' instead of 'strong effect'. Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'discribe', 'beacuse', 'alows', and 'sucessful'. To improve, focus on learning collocations and synonyms for common words. Using more precise academic vocabulary will help you convey your ideas more effectively and demonstrate a better command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'everybody able to follow', 'what other countries are prefer to wear', and 'those who follows'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While you attempt complex sentences, the control over them is limited, leading to errors in subject-verb agreement and tense consistency. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement and article usage before moving on to more complex structures.
