Student answer (Band 5.5)
Global fashion trends become popular in nowadays. Few people say that individual love to wear dress as influences so I think it is negative development which I will elaborate in paragraphs.
To begin with, today technology is escalating at an alarming rate so there are distinct types of global fashion apps like they promote their clothes so people want to adapt their lifestyle like what they wear so they forget their lifestyle
who gave their Grandparents. For example, Indian children also want to adapt western culture so they feel ashamed by wearing their tradition clothes they think that clothes look's older which is not ideal for them. Furthermore, advertisements also play biggest role like people seen branded clothes from advertisement but it’s not always true like quality of clothes which are not comfortable to wear so it’s wastage of money. Moreover, it put also negative impact on local market because individual do not prefer to buy clothes from local market they prefer big malls and branded showrooms which puts a negative effect on economic growth of local market.
On the other side, when in individuals influenced by fashion trends so they also know the what is new in the market and get information about brands so want to adapt same which is really helpful for their personality like they can wear different types of clothes as well as with ideal personality they can get work in big events like films or TV serials. It will be fruitful for their future.
To conclude that, there are few merits points but also so many demerits points so people should aware from this and always wear which is comfortable for them and should connect with their roots.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying the influence of technology and advertisements, and expressing a clear negative stance. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The argument regarding the negative impact on local markets is relevant, but the counter-argument in the third paragraph is somewhat contradictory to the stated position and lacks sufficient depth. The introduction is quite weak, with awkward phrasing like 'in nowadays' and 'individual love to wear dress', which obscures the clarity of the position. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that each paragraph provides a clear, well-supported argument that directly reinforces your main thesis without introducing conflicting points that are not fully reconciled.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'To conclude that' is grammatically incorrect, and the transition between the negative impacts and the counter-argument is abrupt. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'so they forget their lifestyle who gave their Grandparents', where the relationship between the clauses is confusing. While there is an overall progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional misuse of cohesive devices limit the flow of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'escalating at an alarming rate' (used incorrectly in context), 'tradition clothes' instead of 'traditional clothes', and 'merits points'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to communicate basic ideas, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. You rely heavily on simple phrasing, and the misuse of terms like 'individual' instead of 'individuals' or 'people' occurs frequently, which hinders the professional tone of the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'clothes look's older'), article usage, and sentence construction. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'advertisements also play biggest role like people seen branded clothes'. These errors are frequent and occasionally require the reader to re-read to understand the intended meaning. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structure and ensuring that your verb tenses and pluralisation are consistent throughout the text.
