Student answer (Band 5.5)
The global fashion trends has the ability to influence the recent outfits of the people. It has become such an enormous impact on their lives through the rapid spread of digital media, celebrity culture, and accessible worldwide brands. In my opinion, it is a postive development as it connects them in different ways.
The recent spread of social media is one of the major reasons of strong influence on people's lives by global fashion. If we look at the past, any fashion enthusiast had to buy magazines, visit the fashion shows in person just to follow the trends. As a result, the fashions trends took a long amount of time to reach the other parts of the world. This scenario took an opposite turn with the help of media and brand marketing. People just need to scroll some articles released by the brands or magazines to know the upcoming trend. Also following the celebraties on social media has made it quite easy as they are regularly posting about the recent upgrades.
This conjecture has some positive aspects, which can be regarded as the betterment of the society. As people have to communicate with others, nice outfits and a proper fashion sense make them acceptable to them. If someone can make a good impression at the meetings by just dressing according to the recent fashion trend, they have to be regularly upgraded.
In conclusion, the recent outfits of the people are greatly inspired by the global fashion trends. I believe it a upgrade to the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the reasons for the strong influence of global fashion (such as digital media and celebrity culture) and giving a clear position that it is a positive development. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, in the third paragraph, the explanation of why nice outfits make people acceptable in society is underdeveloped and relies on generalizations. It touches upon relevant points, but the supporting arguments lack depth and specific elaboration, placing it firmly in the Band 6 territory where ideas are relevant but somewhat under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, such as the causes of global fashion influence in the second paragraph and the positive aspects in the third paragraph. However, logical progression is occasionally hindered by abrupt transitions and slightly awkward phrasing, such as 'This conjecture has some positive aspects'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are mechanically deployed rather than flexibly integrated. Nonetheless, the message flows well enough to guide the reader through the essay without significant confusion, corresponding to a Band 6 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms like 'fashion enthusiast', 'brand marketing', and 'celebrity culture'. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, but these are accompanied by noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and spelling, such as 'postive' instead of positive, 'celebraties' instead of celebrities, and 'an upgrade to the society' instead of an improvement. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they restrict the lexical score. The vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the intended meaning, which aligns with the Band 6 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer employs a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('If we look at the past, any fashion enthusiast had to...') and relative clauses. However, there are several noticeable grammatical errors and awkward phrasing choices throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'The global fashion trends has the ability' and missing articles or prepositions like 'visit the fashion shows'. Additionally, sentences such as 'they have to be regularly upgraded' contain confusing pronoun reference and passive voice misuse. Because the errors occur frequently alongside correct simple sentences but rarely impede overall communication, a Band 6 score is appropriate.
