Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The student attempts to address both parts of the prompt regarding why global fashion has become influential and whether it is a positive or negative development. The position is discernible, noting both benefits such as increased cultural respect and confidence, as well as drawbacks like consumerism. However, the ideas are underdeveloped and the expression is often confusing, making it difficult to fully grasp the arguments. For instance, the transition into positive aspects mentions how 'peoples start and feels respect for the every culture', which lacks depth and specific examples. The conclusion succinctly acknowledges both sides but remains very basic. Consequently, the response aligns best with a Band 4.5 or 5.0 descriptor profile, as the task is addressed only partially with limited idea expansion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response is divided into paragraphs, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by severe structural and grammatical issues. Cohesive devices are either misused or absent, resulting in a disjointed reading experience. For example, transitional phrases like 'Futhermore, In the starting' and 'In additions' are poorly integrated and punctuation fails to guide the reader effectively. Paragraphing is attempted, but individual paragraphs lack internal cohesion and clear topic sentences, jumping abruptly between ideas such as curly hair insecurities and negative consumer impacts. This organisation reflects Band 4 characteristics, where information and ideas are not arranged in a sufficiently coherent manner.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The student demonstrates a very basic and limited vocabulary range, frequently relying on repetitive words such as 'fashion', 'people', and 'confidance'. There are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'genration' instead of generation, 'modelization', 'fashoin', 'equlity', and 'negtive'. Less common lexical items are attempted but generally fail due to inaccurate collocation and form, such as 'high quantity' instead of the majority. These persistent errors and limited flexibility severely strain the reader and restrict the lexical score to a Band 4.0 level, as the vocabulary is basic and repetitive.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the response. The text contains a high density of basic and complex sentence errors that frequently impede communication. Examples include subject-verb agreement errors like 'every person are', tense inconsistencies such as 'global fashoin become the trend', and flawed sentence structures like 'In the starting curly haired human being are shamed herself'. Punctuation is largely neglected, and complex sentence structures are consistently faulty. The range of structures is very limited, with basic errors recurring in almost every sentence. This places the performance firmly at Band 4.0, where errors are frequent and often distort meaning.
