Student answer (Band 4.5)
Many aspects of the people dress today are influenced by global fashion trends. I genuine agree with this statment that people dresses are influnced by the global maket trends.
First of all, if we talk about the positive side of this development of people equiping the global fashion trends is that people use only international stands of clothes to show there fashion sense, and to make them prominent from other. And in some cases it also helps to build confidance. Moreover it also show thier status in the society, people are greatly impressed by these trends. It is a trend now to judge people by there fashion sense and looks. for instance people usually wear branded clothes of international brands to show their money, and fashion sense to the others, these kind of avtivity are becomimg a trend now.
Secondly, if we discuss the negative impact there are a lot of them, than the positive ones. For instance people only respect by judging thier looks are their style and for what brank they are wearing. for example if you wear an international brands jacket in winter, everyone will respect you and think you are a very rich person. an aother major negative development is the complex is the people that are not rich, they had the feeling of poverty by seeing these trends.
In conclusion, Although it seems and feels to be a good trend but in reality it is making a serious issues of complex and the feeling of poor to the people who cannot afford these kind of clothes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why global fashion has become influential and considering whether this is a positive or negative development. The writer takes a clear position, stating that while there are positive aspects such as confidence-building, the negatives heavily outweigh them due to societal judgment and financial pressures. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on the positive side relies heavily on wearing international brands to show money and fashion sense. Similarly, the negative points repeatedly circle back to judgment based on looks and brands. Because the ideas are not fully extended or supported with deeper analysis, this performance aligns best with Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has a recognisable overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing both sides, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently hindered by mechanical or faulty cohesive devices and referencing issues. Phrases like 'First of all, if we talk about the positive side...' and 'Secondly, if we discuss the negative impact...' are quite formulaic. Furthermore, referencing is unclear at times, as seen in sentences like 'an aother major negative development is the complex is the people that are not rich, they had the feeling of poverty'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow within paragraphs lacks smooth transitions, leading to a score of Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is relatively limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally strain the reader. Examples of lexical errors include 'statment' instead of statement, 'dresses' instead of dress or clothing, 'equiping' instead of adopting, 'confidance' instead of confidence, 'brank' instead of brand, and 'avtivity' instead of activity. While the student attempts less common phrases like 'global market trends' and 'international standards of clothes', the high frequency of inaccurate word forms and spelling mistakes places this response firmly at Band 4.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The student demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and overly long, run-on complex sentences that lack grammatical control. Errors are extremely frequent throughout the text, such as 'Many aspects of the people dress today' (missing preposition/possessive), 'I genuine agree' (adjective instead of adverb), and 'the complex is the people that are not rich, they had the feeling of poverty' (severe structural breakdown and comma splice). These persistent errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader and obscure the intended meaning, matching the Band 4 descriptors.
