IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Many aspects of the way people dress today are influenced by global fashion trends.
How has global fashion become such a strong influence on people's lives? Do you think this is a positive or negative development?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays majority people have become fashion concious.many people tend to follow the global fashion trens to look them self attractive and confident.Many aspects of the way people dress todaay are influced by global fashion and this is the negative development on my point of view.I will explain my opinion in upcomin passages with novel ideas.
As far as the people dressing sense,it is a totally influnced by social media and celebrity.People are tend to follow the celebrity dress code to make them self more fashionable.Majority of youngsters are wear their attaire according to global fashion rather then their culture and norms.Celebreties are always wear bold and weard clothes to get attention of people.Every individual splurge their majority of money to purchase the fashionable clothes. social media has major factor to encourage the people to follow the global fashion trends.People tend to use their leisure time to scroll the social media and they are encourage by others people post and reels after that they want to purachase that type of clothes.Other reason also encourage the global fashion trend such as the peer group pressure,and etc.If people do not follow the global fashion then other people troll them for theit dressing sense.
It is totally negative development because people are forget their culture and norms in orfer to follow the global fashion trends.The value of the traditional clothes has become declined just because of the social media and global fashion trends.Majority of people are prefer to wear wastern attaire to look them self fashinable.The respect and value of the cultural clothes has become decreased in the people and it is the negative development towards the religion and culture.
According to perspective,floowing the global fashion trends is totally negative development because people has become stay away from thier cultural value and norms and they can not match their mindset with old age people just because of the social media and global fashion trends.
