Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response attempts to address both parts of the prompt regarding the influence of global fashion and whether it is positive or negative. However, the student's position is somewhat contradictory, stating it is a negative development in the introduction and conclusion, yet listing advantages in the body. Furthermore, ideas are significantly under-developed and repetitive, relying on vague generalisations like 'people are more Advance and people become a much fashionating comperision'. Crucially, the response fails the minimum length requirement, containing only 221 words instead of the required 250, which places a firm ceiling on this criterion. In line with the band descriptors for Task Achievement, this level of development and the failure to meet the word count requirement corresponds to a Band 4.5.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall logical organisation and progression are weak. While transitional markers such as 'on the one hand' and 'on the other hand' are attempted, their usage is mechanically repetitive and often semantically confused, such as using 'On the other hand' to introduce advantages when the student has already claimed the development is negative. Referencing and substitution are frequently unclear, as seen in sentences like 'it get to easy and quik, another reason is nowadays many people are active on social media and they spent their several time on online platform it make them informative'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion is faulty. These characteristics reflect the descriptors for Band 4.0, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently throughout.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

Vocabulary usage is basic, limited, and repetitive. The student attempts less common items such as 'fashionating', 'Globalisation', and 'influencer', but these are plagued by severe word-choice and word-formation errors. Spelling and morphological mistakes are frequent, including 'dievert', 'actore', 'actores', 'promode', 'trendi', 'arrogent', and 'thik'. These errors frequently strain the reader's understanding and impede smooth communication. The vocabulary range is minimally adequate to express simple ideas, but the persistent lexical inaccuracies place the response squarely at Band 4.0, as the errors clearly strain the reader and reflect a restricted vocabulary control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The writing exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting predominantly of simple sentences joined by coordinating conjunctions or comma splices, such as 'today i'm gonna talk about in this topic why people are dievert into a fashion.' Attempts at complex sentences are almost uniformly faulty, featuring persistent structural errors, missing subjects, incorrect verb tenses, and pervasive punctuation failures. Errors are extremely frequent throughout every sentence, distorting meaning in several places and causing significant difficulty for the reader. This level of grammatical control matches the Band 4.0 descriptors, where errors are frequent and pervasive, severely impacting readability.
