IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Many aspects of the way people dress today are influenced by global fashion trends.
How has global fashion become such a strong influence on people's lives? Do you think this is a positive or negative development?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
People hold different views regarding global fashion trends. While some argue that it is has a positive development, but i believe that it has a negative development because we should not have to forget our traditions.
On the one hand, there are valid arguements for why global fashion trends influenced many individuals.The main arguement is that they think they have to enhance their fashion style so, they can look more cool, aesthetic & classy. In these generation or in this time period citiens can be influenced so easily because of social media. Content Creaters in social media can easily influence the individuals for new fashion trends. In this generation GenZ are adopting western culture so easily that's they are wearing western dresses & adopting western talking slangs also. For instance, GenZ of our country started to wear western dress and adopt western slangs like yoo,yep,whatsup etc while talking to each others.
