Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some part of the whole people clothes nowadays are impacted on world fashion trends. How global fashion become like a strong influence on humans beings. In my opinion it spread a adverse effect on peoples lives.

In addition to, these globally famous fashion spread due to social media plateform like instagram, tiktok and other these tools. The huge reason behind this influence culture who are worldwide famous people that add their post on social media. It impact on their followers, lovers then they will starting follow back them. For instance, Fast Fashion, E-Commerce, as well as Zara which help peoples to complete these trends by providing all kind of clothes that globally famous and affordable. As well as Western movies musics also their celebrities lifestyle. People see their lfestyle and their attitude then try to adopt their lifestyle. People who push others towards spraeding indecency ought be banned as well as they should going to be disappear in the simple people lifes.

Futhermore, I consider this to be a negative development primarily because it leads to the loss of local cultural identity. When young people blindly follow global clothing trends, traditional attire such as ethnic wear is often neglected and forgotten. In addtion, this trends fuels fast fashion, which causes severe environmental damge through textile waste and creates unnecessary financial presure on indiviuals to constantly buy new clothes just to stay trend.

In sumrise, people should control their emotions and aviod themselveas by following on step of their idols. Although, by avoiding themselves the society become peacefull as well as their environment can be change.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, exploring both the reasons for the strong influence of global fashion and presenting a clear position that it is a negative development. The writer identifies social media platforms, celebrities, and fast fashion companies like Zara as key drivers, and discusses negative consequences such as cultural loss and environmental damage. However, the ideas are often underdeveloped, repetitive, and lack sufficient extension or detailed examples. For instance, the discussion on the environmental damage of fast fashion is stated briefly without elaboration. While the task is adequately addressed in terms of content, the lack of depth and minor logical leaps place it firmly at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, attempting a standard structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, such as 'In addition to, these globally famous fashion spread' and 'Futhermore, I consider this to be a negative development'. Cohesive devices are often misused or mechanically applied, and referencing is frequently unclear, as seen in phrases like 'their followers, lovers then they will starting follow back them'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is weak, resulting in a disjointed flow that impacts overall readability. These features align with the Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and basic, with frequent word choice and collocation errors throughout the response. Examples include 'Some part of the whole people clothes', 'spread a adverse effect', and 'environmental damge'. The writer attempts less common vocabulary, such as 'indecency' and 'identity', but these are often used inaccurately or inappropriately within the context. Spelling errors like 'plateform', 'lfestyle', 'spraeding', and 'sumrise' further restrict the lexical score. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey basic meaning, the high frequency of inaccurate word choices and spelling mistakes caps this criterion at Band 4.5, which rounds to Band 5.0 based on standard whole/half band scoring conventions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response contains a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences are almost uniformly faulty. There are persistent, highly intrusive errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, and sentence construction, such as 'How global fashion become like a strong influence', 'ought be banned as well as they should going to be disappear', and 'aviod themselveas by following on step of their idols'. Punctuation and article usage are also weak. The frequency of grammatical errors causes constant difficulty for the reader and obscures meaning in places, which accurately reflects the Band 4 descriptors.
