Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this unpredictable world, it is often argued that fashion trends of clothes are significantly stimulated by world. I believe that it is a positive development for the society along with discussing the substantial aspects of it.
To commence with, there are a myriad of causative aspects of how fashion trends are creating greater influence on people. The most predominant one is that availability of western clothes. To be more precise, mostly young generation prefer to wear western clothes as it is affordable and available in distinct variety at different geographical boundaries. Another important aspect is that advertisement are the greatest attraction towards fashion. In other words, people have an access of exclusive option of online shopping where they can interact with international brands from different social media sites. For example, according to Times of India newspaper reveals that around 10% individuals have online international shopping every year. Consequently, fashion clothes have more impact on individuals.
It is largely a positive development for the sustainable growth of the nation. The first and the foremost is that it is helpful to make strong relationship with other countries. To explain it further, countries can make good relation by globalization and it can provide name and fame to both nations. Another considerable aspect is that it can lead to provide abundance of job opportunities to the unemployed society. In addition, when clothes transport from one nation to another, people can obtain short term jobs for the fulfilment of their rudimentary requirements. As a ramification, it is helpful to boost the economy of the country with harmonious relation with other countries.
To conclude, even though mass media and availability of international brands are the significant reasons, I firmly assert that it is fruitful for the development of the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the causes of global fashion influence and giving an opinion on whether it is positive or negative. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas lacks depth in certain areas. For instance, the discussion on why global fashion has become influential points to western clothes and advertising, but the elaboration remains somewhat repetitive and generic. Similarly, the positive development arguments touch upon international relations and job creation, but the explanation regarding short-term jobs feels somewhat thin. Despite these limitations in fully extending every point, the student successfully covers all parts of the task with relevant ideas, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate causes from the positive impacts. Cohesive devices are employed to link ideas, such as 'To commence with', 'To be more precise', and 'To conclude'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'As a ramification, it is helpful to boost the economy', where the transitional phrase feels forced. Paragraph transitions could be smoother, but the logical progression is generally maintained throughout, making it a solid Band 6 performance.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'predominant', 'rudimentary requirements', and 'harmonious relation'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text, such as 'fashion trends of clothes are significantly stimulated by world' and 'people have an access of exclusive option'. Furthermore, there is an awkward phrasing in 'around 10% individuals have online international shopping'. While communication is not severely impeded, these lexical inaccuracies prevent the score from reaching a higher band, placing the response firmly at Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The essay features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at varied sentence structures such as relative clauses and subordinate conjunctions. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as ' Mostly young generation prefer' (missing article), 'advertisement are the greatest attraction' (agreement error), and 'when clothes transport from one nation to another' (passive voice needed). Punctuation and article usage also exhibit recurring minor errors. These errors do not impede overall communication, but they occur frequently enough to preclude a Band 7, fitting comfortably within the Band 6 criteria.
