Student answer (Band 5.0)

Yes, it is right that the global fashion trend has become the strong infuence on people lives. Especially to the upper class families or the bussiness families which have a lot of money and can afford these trends. But in my point of view it has both aspects in development.

Firstly, the positive think that i think is that there are many of the people on social media which earn from the social media and have to follow the trend to earn the money and get views and likes on there reels and videos. They got fame by following the trend and get more love from there followers. So if it is said that for there lives the trend is very important I think it is not wrong.

In the other hand, there are many negative aspects of these trends that occurrs in the society and one the most highlighted is that the poor poeple which are unabled to eat food three times a day are suffering from this crisris because of there childerns because they have no other thing to do when there childrens demands the trending things. For example the trend of giving Iphones to there childrens or giving any other expensive gifts on there birthdays is not good because the people who have not enough sources feels infarior and get stressed and depression for these things and if they give that things to there childrens happiness they have to get the loans.

Another example is the dowry system that the rich people give the cars and houses to there daughters and the families demand that same things from the poor families so it make them uncomfortable.

So, I think that it has less positive development as compare to negative development because there are some trends lies in the society which are really not good for the society and they make very negative things in the human lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the causes of fashion's strong influence and whether it is a positive or negative development, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For example, the argument regarding social media creators earning money by following trends is introduced simply without deep expansion. Similarly, the points concerning low-income families feeling pressured to buy expensive items like iPhones or participate in the dowry system are raised, but the overall position lacks robust support and clear progression. The ideas tend to over-generalise and stay at a superficial level, which prevents the essay from achieving a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organisation in the essay, with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, the positive point, the negative examples, and the conclusion. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression throughout the text. Cohesive devices are often repetitive, mechanical, or somewhat inaccurate, such as 'Firstly, the positive think that i think is...' and 'In the other hand'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the links between sentences can feel disjointed, which restricts the overall flow of ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common items or topic-related terms like 'upper class families', 'social media', and 'dowry system', but there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling. Examples include 'infuence' instead of influence, 'bussiness', 'think' instead of thing, 'poeple', 'unabled', 'crisris', 'childerns', and 'infarior'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips occur frequently and occasionally cause some difficulty or strain for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic sentence forms with frequent errors. Attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty, such as in the opening sentence: 'Yes, it is right that the global fashion trend has become the strong infuence on people lives.' Frequent errors persist in articles, plurals, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'the poor poeple which are unabled', 'there childrens', 'that things', and 'sources feels infarior'. These grammatical errors are frequent and can cause noticeable difficulty for the reader in following the intended meaning.
