Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt partially, tackling both parts of the question regarding the influence of global fashion and whether it is a positive or negative development. However, the ideas are limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion on how fashion spreads through celebrities and advertising relies on repetitive points without much extension. While a basic position is presented, such as 'I belive, this is positive developemnt for bussiness', the supporting arguments lack depth and rely on generalized assertions rather than well-supported examples. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to expand on their ideas with more detailed explanations and fully developed arguments for both aspects of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organization with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, body points, and conclusion, but the response lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are used rather mechanically or repetitively, such as starting multiple paragraphs with 'First main aspect' and 'Second aspect'. Referencing can also be unclear, as seen in sentences like 'Watching this on social pages many more friends of her/his buy them too', where pronoun reference is muddled. While the essay follows a recognizable structure, achieving a smoother flow and more natural, varied transitions between sentences and paragraphs would significantly improve the overall coherence and logical progression of the writing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'excessories', 'celebrities', and 'advertisements', but noticeable spelling and word choice errors occur throughout the text, including 'belive' for believe, 'developemnt' for development, 'bussiness' for business, and 'Yong adulats'. These errors, alongside issues with word form like 'fashoin', sometimes cause strain or difficulty for the reader. To improve, the student needs to expand their vocabulary range, use less common items with greater precision, and pay closer attention to standard spelling and word formation in English.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammar demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex structures that contain severe errors. There are frequent grammatical errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'people gets easily influence', 'This companies promote there new shirts', and 'With this relation countries gets shipped'. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also show instability. These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and reflect a weak control over basic grammatical structures. Incorporating a wider mix of accurate simple and complex forms with fewer foundational errors is essential for improvement.
