Body

The dressing habits of todays generation is mainly attracted by worldwide fashion trends. This is because of global connection through internet and socail media. There are several reasons of why global fashion has convinced people. One reason is that people want to be like others. when they watch globally recognized people and celebrities dressing styles, they become attracted to it. In this way, they want to be like these people. For example, when people watch celebrity or global stars dressing on instagram, they gets attracted to it and most likey want to buy it. Second reason is advertisement done by global companies. These companies advertise their dresses and other wearing things in a way that everyone wants to buy their products. This leads to global fashion. I consider this as a positive development because it creates a sense of connectivity and positive thinking within different people. Having same dressing and clothing style can spread love and belongingness amongs the people from all around the world. In this way, the world wil be more connected towards eachother.

Conclusion

In conclusion, people's dressing habits are strongly influenced because of the growing connectivity of people all around the world through socail media. I beleive this a great shift towards properity and love among the people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You have attempted to address all parts of the prompt by discussing why global fashion has become influential and giving your opinion on whether this is a positive development. However, your response remains at a partial level because your ideas are limited and under-developed. For instance, when you state that 'people want to be like others' or mention advertisements by global companies, these points are repetitive and lack extended support or specific examples beyond generic mentions of celebrities and Instagram. Your position is visible when you state 'I consider it as a positive shift', but the supporting arguments regarding 'love and belongingness' are generalized rather than thoroughly explored. To move towards higher bands, you need to ensure that every main idea is fully elaborated with specific, well-reasoned explanations and concrete examples rather than surface-level statements.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your essay demonstrates some basic organization, featuring an introduction, a body paragraph, and a conclusion, which meets the fundamental requirement of structuring an essay. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the logical transition between points is hindered by repetitive phrasing and inadequate cohesive devices. You rely heavily on simple connectors like 'One reason is', 'Second reason is', and 'In this way', which feel mechanical and over-used. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as when pronouns like 'it' are used ambiguously ('gets attracted to it and most likey want to buy it'). Paragraphing is also an issue, as you have lumped all your body arguments into one massive paragraph instead of separating the causes behind the trend and your view on its positivity into distinct, well-managed paragraphs. To improve, you should organize your ideas into clear, thematic paragraphs and use a wider, more natural range of cohesive devices.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for expressing basic ideas. You attempt some less common vocabulary items, such as 'connectivity', 'prosperity', and 'recognition', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and collocation. For example, you write 'clothing habits' instead of 'clothing choices' or 'dress sense', 'socail media' instead of 'social media', and 'wearing things' instead of 'apparel' or 'clothing items'. Additionally, you have repeated basic terms like 'dressing', 'fashion', 'people', and 'global' excessively throughout the text. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips can cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict your vocabulary score. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary, use more precise academic synonyms, and pay closer attention to correct word forms and spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your writing displays a very limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple sentences or faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that can cause strain for the reader. For instance, you make errors in verb forms and subject-verb agreement, such as 'Many viewpoints... are convinced by' (where 'influenced' or 'shaped' is needed for the passive voice), 'todays generation is' (missing apostrophe and plural agreement), 'celebrity or global stars dressing' (incorrect gerund phrase structure), and 'most likey want to buy it' (spelling and agreement issues). Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent, seen in missing capitalization, missing articles before nouns, and incorrect prepositions like 'connected towards eachother'. To progress to higher band levels, you must demonstrate a greater variety of complex sentence structures while significantly improving your grammatical accuracy and control over basic syntactic rules.
