Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many aspects of the way people wear clothes nowadays are influenced by world fashion trends.
It has become influencial because of the goverment's globalization strategy and social media. I personally believe it has mostly negative impact on younger generation.
to begin with, there are several factors play key role into the developement in people's thinking about what to wear. but the most important one is social media. while many individuals tends to follow current trends of social media believing that if they follow the trend they will be judge positively by the sociaty. on the top of that some youthes are actually guess one's wealth by seeing their dressing sence.in addition to that, it has also written in one book that your first impression is your last impression and when a person meet another his clothes decide weather they are good person or not. as a result many follow the fashion trend to make their good value in the society. morely, many people make a instagram influencer their ideal. due to this reason they want to follow their dressing as well to show their love. for instance, there is one very famous youtube influencer named Mr. Beast when he got offer from some clothing brand to collaborate. he wore their T-shirts and jackets and the fanbase blindly followed his fashion and bought those overly expensive clothes.
Because of this many people buy clothes which are not in their budget just only to show the society. in many countries people already started to forget their roots. as a result mankind start to forget their nation's clothing styles. for example, in India their origional clothing for men is dhoti not jeans. due to this now youth forget their historical clothes and already moved towards the western culture and lost their own culture.
in conclusion, I believe it is fine to wear clothes which are in trending but one should not forget his own roots. basically, everyone should have proud if their culture and do not feel same to wear clothes. in contrast everyone forgot their roots and started wearing the western clothes. therefore, i am merely against it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing the causes of global fashion's strong influence and taking a clear personal position that it is a negative development. However, the development of ideas is uneven. While the introduction of social media and the role of influencers like Mr. Beast are relevant, some supporting points are under-developed or based on vague generalizations, such as claiming that people judge wealth strictly by dressing sense without deeper analysis. To reach a higher level, all main arguments need to be fully extended and supported with more cohesive reasoning and robust examples rather than relying on brief assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, demonstrating an attempt to sequence ideas logically. However, cohesion is frequently mechanical and sometimes faulty. Transitional phrases like 'to begin with', 'on the top of that', and 'in addition to that' are overused or awkwardly linked. Furthermore, referencing is not always clear, and paragraphing lacks proper punctuation and capitalization control, which disrupts the logical progression of the text. To improve, the writer should employ a wider and more natural variety of cohesive devices while ensuring smoother transitions between sentences and paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday ideas and attempting less common terms such as 'globalization strategy', 'collaborate', and 'overly expensive'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally impact precision, such as 'influencial' instead of influential, 'sociaty' instead of society, 'youthes', 'sence', 'weather' instead of whether, 'morely', and 'origional'. While these inaccuracies do not entirely impede communication, they reflect limitations in word choice and spelling control. Developing greater precision and eliminating spelling errors will be necessary for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as subordinate clauses and relative pronouns. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement problems ('there are several factors play key role', 'mankind start'), missing articles ('when a person meet another'), incorrect verb forms ('people already started to forget'), and extensive capitalization errors at the beginning of sentences. Although the meaning remains generally decipherable, these persistent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar from reaching a higher level of control.
