Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall view—“I think it is negative development”—and offer relevant possible influences, including travel, social media, status, and the growth of fashion industries. However, the task is only partly addressed: the explanation of how global fashion became influential is a list of possible causes rather than a developed account, and the second part shifts between health, spending, industry income, and the economy without clearly explaining why these make the development negative. The conclusion repeats your view but does not draw the main reasons together. Develop two or three central ideas with specific explanations or examples, and make sure each paragraph directly supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, so there is a basic attempt to organise the answer. Some progression is visible: the first body paragraph discusses influences, while the next considers possible effects. However, the ideas within both paragraphs are loosely connected, and the second paragraph begins “On the other hand” without presenting a clear opposing view. Connectors such as “However” and “Moreover” sometimes introduce ideas that do not contrast or extend the previous point. References such as “they” are also unclear in places. Group related points into a clear sequence, use linking phrases according to their meaning, and make each paragraph’s main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “social status,” “luxury clothes,” and “financial problems.” This gives you some means of discussing influence and its effects. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow, such as “effect on people’s lifestyle,” “spend a lot of costs,” and “industries to grow their income.” Spelling errors—including “incearsing,” “wealts,” and “fasgion”—also occur noticeably. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling carefully; prioritise natural combinations such as “influence people’s lifestyles,” “spend large sums,” and “increase industry revenue.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You use some longer sentence attempts, including clauses beginning with “because” and “which,” as well as simple statements that communicate your general position. However, the range of structures is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “some people believe that global fashion trends effect on people’s lifestyle” lacks a correctly formed verb pattern, while “Some people spend a too much time” has an article and quantifier problem. There are also errors in agreement and sentence construction, as in “which can negative impact.” These issues sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Practise accurate basic clause patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check articles, verb forms, and punctuation.
