Student answer (Band 5.0)

Todays dressing style will be most dependent on social influancers and fashion shows that promote across the world. As the communication and social connectivity has evolved drasticially and where almost every individual is spending atleast a spair of time ina day in social applications thay get influenced by it. I would belive it has mostly drawbacks due to the technological applications.

To begin with where technology has evolved drastically and where whery person in the world uses atleast one social application to connect with others. As they go through it regularly they my get some tempted through fashion that as attracts every one in the society. Due it this people will wish to buy the same types of products even they are not enough to affardoble it. Therefore they may spend even it was theirs strength to buy they will get it through emi's and later feel they feel burden on them.

furthermore some fashions which has not good enough to wear in public places becase of these wide spread social connections they wear it and gets unconfortable in public places. furthermore in many parts of the world where some time brands spread those things in social platforms to steal money in the name of fashion and discounts. in recent times when in went to a mall near to as published huge discounts on things where fabric was not that good but many of the young bought it due to wide spread fashion styles.

To conclude, i believe that it has mostly negative imapct on the society where some buy even they cant affort it and sometimes they buy it to social spread fashions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: you explain the influence of social applications and fashion promotion, and you clearly regard the development as mostly negative. The points about people buying items they cannot afford and feeling financially burdened are relevant, as is the example of young shoppers attracted by discounts. However, the explanation of how global fashion became influential is narrow, focusing almost entirely on social media; fashion shows are mentioned only in the opening. Some claims, such as clothing being unsuitable in public, are not clearly connected to global trends or supported. Develop the causes with specific examples and explain each consequence more fully to make the response more complete and convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to the central argument. Basic signposting such as “To begin with” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track: the second body paragraph moves from public clothing to scams and then to a mall example without clearly showing how these points connect. Repeated use of “furthermore” and repeated references to social applications make cohesion feel mechanical. Use clearer topic sentences, group related points together, and make links between examples and claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “social applications,” “fashion styles,” “brands,” “discounts,” and “burden,” so the main subject is usually identifiable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “social spread fashions,” “spend even it was theirs strength,” and “steal money in the name of fashion.” There are also frequent spelling errors, including “influancers,” “drasticially,” and “unconfortable,” which reduce clarity and control. Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for advertising, consumer pressure and affordability would help express your ideas effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect sequence about social media, purchasing and debt. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors frequently make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. For example, “As the communication and social connectivity has evolved” has problems with article use and subject–verb agreement, while “even they are not enough to affardoble it” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Verb forms and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “they wear it and gets unconfortable.” Practise building accurate sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses only when their relationships are clear. Review agreement, articles and tense consistency.
