Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent years, global fashion trends significant influence on the way people dress in many parts of the world. I believe this is largely a positive development. I will discuss this trend in the upcoming paragraph with a logical conclusion.

To start with, there are many reasons associated with it. The first and foremost point is the wide spread use of digital media. To explain this, Platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and exactra allow people's to see the latest fashinable desing from different countries within a second. Furthermore, celebrities and social media influencers frequently promote practicular brand. To justify this, big brands such as puma, nike and other certain clothing and footware brands show their advertisment which promote by popular celebrities which encourge their followers to adopt similar style. As a result, it spreds rapidly across the national borders. For example, when a paticular brand worn by a celebrity in the United State it quickly become fashinable among younger generation.

Moving on , the another important reason is expansion of internatinal fashion companies and online purchasing. To presize this, nowadays, big comapnies advertise their products through by some infulencers, also e-commers allow consumers to purchase their product online. Which are more affordable and accesiable to masses. For instance, a young person from India want to by a product from Korea or Pakistan, so they order it online which also a convient way for them.

In conclusion, although global fashion trends wide spread by the digital media world wide. However, it also promotr by celebrities which may adopt by their follwers and leads to the growth of a certain companies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear positive view in the opening, and the discussion of social media, celebrity promotion and online shopping is relevant to how global fashion spreads. However, the task is only partly addressed: most of the response explains the causes, while the positive side is asserted rather than explained. The conclusion also shifts to describing how trends spread and company growth, without clearly restating why you consider this development positive. Examples such as a celebrity’s clothing becoming popular among young people and cross-border online purchases are useful starting points, but they need more explanation of their effects on people’s lives. Develop the benefits explicitly—for example, wider choice or easier access to styles—and maintain the same position throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the two main causes are separated into paragraphs. Sequencing phrases such as “To start with” and “Moving on” help signal the discussion. However, progression is weakened by formulaic and sometimes inaccurate linking, including “To explain this,” “To justify this,” and “To presize this.” The conclusion begins “although” but then uses “However,” creating an unclear relationship between the ideas, and it does not clearly summarise the argument. Some sentences are also awkwardly connected, such as the fragment beginning “Which are more affordable.” Use fewer stock transitions, connect each example directly to its point, and make the conclusion follow logically from the body.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital media,” “social media influencers,” “advertise,” “online purchasing” and “national borders,” so the reader can follow the main subject. There is also an attempt to vary wording rather than repeat only basic terms. However, the range is limited and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to read, for example “fashinable desing,” “exactra,” “practicular,” and “acc esiable.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “wide spread use” and “purchase their product online.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases. More precise vocabulary for the claimed benefits and effects would also help you explain your position rather than focusing mainly on how trends spread.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “To explain this” and “For example,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and attempts to build complex sentences often contain errors. The opening is missing a verb (“global fashion trends significant influence”), while “Platforms … allow people's to see” has incorrect possessive/pronoun use. There are also problems with articles, agreement and verb forms, as in “the another important reason,” “a young person … want,” and “it quickly become.” The sentence beginning “Which are more affordable” is incomplete, and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent. Practise forming complete sentences and check subject–verb agreement and verb tense before adding extra clauses.
