Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that the fashion trends all around the world are influencing the dressing sense of majority of individuals. There can be various reason for ongoin trend.
There can numerous reasons why individuals get simply influenced and decide what to wear on the basis of trends. One of them can be watching their favourite celebrities or roll models. When a persons watches their favourite film star followig a certain trend, he/she gets fascinated towards their style. This is how individuals end up following most of the fashion trends. One example can be 'MET GALA', we often see when this event takes place celebrities from all around the world show up. Intresetingly, their main goal is to represent fashion as well as styling. This attracts millions of people and that is how the majority of indivuals get influenced.
In my opinion, this affects most of the people in a negative way. Even though following a fashion or appriciating other's ideas is never a bad step to take. But here the concern is that indiviuals forget about their own fashion sense. Despite of wanting to style something in their own way, they feel outdated because of it and end up following the trends. The pressure do not let them be themselves.
In conlusion, I would say that although following a trend is a good thing. On the other hand, not feeling confident on our own is never better than trying to be in a race where we never belonged to. So this negtive development should not be influencing one more than enough.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the prompt: you explain celebrity influence and state that the effects are negative. The example of the Met Gala helps illustrate how public figures can attract attention to fashion. However, the explanation of how global trends became influential is narrow: celebrities are the only clear cause discussed, and the link to global reach could be made more explicit, for example by explaining how social media or international media spreads styles. Your negative position is present, but the effects are mainly described as pressure to follow trends and loss of personal style. Develop these points with a specific consequence or example, and make the conclusion’s position more direct. This would make the response more fully address and support the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph explaining an influence, a paragraph giving your opinion, and a conclusion. The ideas generally follow a sensible order, and phrases such as “One of them” and “In my opinion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear or repetitive: the celebrity example and the claim that people are influenced are stated several times without adding much development. Some links are also awkward, particularly “Even though… But here the concern is,” which makes the relationship between ideas less smooth. Use clearer transitions between cause, example, and consequence, and ensure each paragraph develops one main point rather than restating it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “fashion trends,” “celebrities,” “style,” “outdated,” and “pressure,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “represent fashion as well as styling.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “dressing sense of majority,” “fascinated towards their style,” and “influencing one more than enough.” Spelling errors such as “roll models,” “Intresetingly,” and “negtive” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Build a more precise vocabulary for describing media influence and personal identity, and check spelling and common word partnerships carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional-style explanation beginning “When a persons watches…” and a contrast introduced by “Even though.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “There can numerous reasons,” “When a persons watches,” and “The pressure do not let them be themselves,” where sentence structure, agreement, or verb forms need correction. The opening also contains an incomplete construction: “There can be various reason for ongoin trend.” Aim first for accurate, complete sentences, then practise combining ideas with subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and singular/plural forms during proofreading.
