Student answer (Band 6.0)
I believe that the fashion trend has been globalized due to widely used social media. I perceive it as a positive development. Many countries are exporting fashionware to different parts of the world which is boosting their economy as well. On the other hand, it is sharpening fashion designer's skills as well.
First of all, certain years back, people used to have thier own cultural dress. Different part of the world had different dressing sense which reflect their culture. Slowly, people started travelling and they saw people wearing different clothes. Thats how they got inspiration and tried to modify what they were wearing.
Furthermore, the evolving of communication era plays vital role. Even though we don't travel, we get to see celebrities on television wearing different dress which had major influence on people of different age groups.
For example, most of the people from Nepal wear western cloths which is shirt, pant, cap etc. but we rarely wear what is traditionally ours. Our fashion market is heavily dominated by western culture. Even our local tailor master is aware of trending fashion and he has made himself capable to adapt those changes.
Despite of cultural differences, it has benefit too. In recent scenario, Nepal exports a certain amount of gems and jewels, from which it is generating revenue which makes significant impact on our economy. People seems to get highly influenced by celebrities. When it is not possible to buy same designed clothes, people tend to create something which is inspired from them but made using local product.
To conclude, glamour and fashion industry being global is a huge opportunity. we can export our fashion to the world which supports economic independence. It inspires local fashion designers to use local product which helps to hone their skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify social media and travel as influences, and clearly state that global fashion is positive. The examples about celebrities, Western clothing in Nepal, and local designers help make the response relevant. However, the explanation of how fashion became influential is uneven: travel is mentioned briefly, while the role of social media and television could be explained more fully. The economic argument also needs clearer support. The reference to Nepal exporting “gems and jewels” does not directly demonstrate the benefits of global fashion, and the claim that local designers gain skills is asserted rather than illustrated. Develop each main point with a specific fashion-related example and explain its connection to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, explanatory paragraphs, an example, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression between ideas is not always smooth: the paragraph beginning “Despite of cultural differences” shifts from cultural effects to exports and then to celebrity-inspired clothing without clearly linking these points. Some connections are also mechanical, and the opening mentions social media before the body develops travel and television. Group related ideas together, use clearer references to show how each example supports the main claim, and make the conclusion follow directly from the reasons established in the body.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “globalized,” “cultural dress,” “fashion market,” “dominated,” and “economic independence.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and attempts such as “hone their skills” show some ambition. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “fashionware,” “dressing sense,” “the evolving of communication era,” and “local product.” There are also spelling errors such as “thier” and “cloths,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural combinations and precise terms—for example, distinguish clothing from jewellery when discussing exports, and use “traditional clothing” rather than “what is traditionally ours.” Proofreading would help preserve the range you are attempting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which is boosting their economy” and a conditional structure in “When it is not possible to buy…”. The overall meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include “Different part of the world had” (number agreement), “which reflect their culture” (verb agreement and tense), and “People seems” (subject–verb agreement). Articles and sentence construction also need attention in phrases such as “plays vital role” and “Despite of cultural differences.” Review agreement, articles, and the forms of subordinate clauses, then check punctuation and capitalisation, especially the lowercase “we” after the conclusion’s opening sentence. More consistent control would make your varied structures easier to follow.
