Globalization of the world has connected different countries together, where all countries contribute to the global pool with their information, of which fashion a major addition. This has greatly contributed to the wide-spread of apparel style being adopted by countries and acknowledgment of unfamiliar cultural ways. This essay shall discuss how this strongly affected the fashion sense and its related impact.

Fashion has been thrived since ages in all parts of world. People wore trendy apparels to fit into the society to become accepted respectfully. With the start of trade exchange, people learned novel ways to design and stitch clothes. This admiration is still alive today as it is evident by the recent popularity of Korean culture and clothing styles. Many people got familiar with new culture and started mimicking them to fit into the same group. Dress code is not just a formal setup anymore but let people show their personality through their fashion sense..For instance, celebrities wear unique dresses to stand out in social events.

This change has mostly worked favorably for people as it allows them to embrace foreign culture and get to know the traditional values of different backgrounds. But sometimes, uncontrolled spread of an international fashion leads to abandoning of someone's own cultural and traditional values. Often seen as younger generation adopting pants and shirt as daily wears instead of traditional clothes.

Fashion plays an immerse role in this society where attention and standing out is the desire of all people. It has become a part of life that fashion comes before food for some people. Besides its few side side effects this has positively broaden the minds of people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses both questions: it explains the influence through trade, exposure to other cultures, and the popularity of Korean fashion, then gives a generally positive judgement while acknowledging cultural loss as a drawback. These are relevant ideas, and the example of younger people choosing everyday Western clothing helps illustrate the concern. However, the explanation of how fashion became influential is not fully developed: the essay moves from historical trade to modern celebrity influence without clearly explaining the roles of media, online platforms, or international brands. The positive position is also stated more clearly at the end than throughout, and claims such as fashion coming “before food” need qualification or support. Develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on the spread and appeal of fashion, a paragraph weighing benefits against drawbacks, and a concluding statement. Ideas generally follow a sensible order, and transitions such as “For instance” and “But sometimes” help signal examples and contrast. However, the progression is sometimes loose: the discussion shifts from trade to social acceptance and then celebrities without making the links explicit. The conclusion introduces the striking claim that fashion comes before food, which is not prepared for earlier. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, and punctuation such as the double full stop after “fashion sense” interrupts the flow. Use clearer topic sentences and make each paragraph develop one central point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The response attempts a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “global pool,” “cultural values,” “traditional clothes,” and “stand out,” and the meaning is usually recoverable. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “wide-spread of apparel style,” “fashion has been thrived,” and “an immerse role” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Repetition of “fashion,” “people,” and “culture” also makes parts of the response less varied. Aim for accurate collocations and check word forms before using ambitious vocabulary. For example, describe fashion as having “spread widely,” say it “has flourished,” and use “plays an immense role.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

There is some variety in sentence structure, including complex forms such as “This change has mostly worked favorably for people as it allows them…” and a contrast introduced by “But sometimes.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems are noticeable. Examples include “all countries contribute … with their information, of which fashion a major addition,” where the clause is incomplete, and “People wore trendy apparels … to become accepted,” where the sentence construction is awkward. In “Dress code … but let people,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “Fashion has been thrived” uses an incorrect verb form. Review clause completeness, agreement, and verb patterns, and proofread sentence endings and spacing.
