Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear opinion—“it is positive development”—and include examples involving workplace clothing, school uniforms, doctors and festivals. However, the response only minimally addresses the question. Most examples describe clothing choices or uniforms rather than explaining how global fashion became influential, such as through social media, advertising, celebrities or international brands. The positive effects are also asserted rather than explained: saying clothes make people “look very attractive” and affect their work does not show how or why. The conclusion is incomplete (“In my opin”), and the response is 6 words below the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, explain both the causes of fashion’s global reach and the benefits you believe it brings, supporting each point with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and an attempted conclusion. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal the intended stages. However, progression is difficult to follow because the body paragraphs move between designer clothes, office wear, uniforms and cultural festivals without clearly linking these examples to global influence or to your positive position. Some references are unclear, as in “this is a one type of influenced,” and the final sentence stops before the conclusion is complete. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it. Use linking phrases to show the relationship between ideas, rather than relying mainly on paragraph-opening signals.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to clothing and fashion, including “designer,” “blazer,” “uniform,” “traditional clothes” and “festival.” These words help communicate the general topic, but the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “people,” “clothes” and “different.” Frequent spelling errors—such as “maney,” “cloths,” “becouse” and “unifome”—make the writing harder to read. Some word combinations are also unclear, for example “design their dress with designer” and “a one type of influenced.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For instance, you could describe how trends “spread internationally” or how people “follow current styles,” then use these phrases accurately in explanations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and examples introduced by “when” and “so.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but sentence structures are often faulty, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “Many aspects that the global fashion trends influence on human life,” which is not a complete, well-formed sentence, and “in some school have a unifome,” where the subject and verb pattern are missing. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, plurals and prepositions, as in “in to there office.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and articles. Use a few accurate complex sentences rather than joining several ideas into one unclear sentence.
