Student answer (Band 5.5)
The standards of global fashion has a influential role to play in the dressing of common people. The global fashon trends have strong influence on other people due to its heavy promotion and the inferiority complex of the people. I believe, it is a negative development considering the negative effect it have on people.
One biggest reason for it to have strong influence is that the promotion of the fashion trends by big personality. People have easy access to social media nowadays, and seeing their favourite star in certain dress motivates them to follow the same. In addition to this, this trends have been followed by people across the globe due to the existing identification crisis. People who are not following the trend will be viewed as outcast, which results them to follow the trend.
I believe this influence on people is a negative development because of the financial burden and insignificant effect of this fashion trend on people. Following the trend involved buying of the costume which makes the trend a financial burden to people. Also, it does not have any value on the person's life. For example, a women living under poverty getting influenced by the trend, as a result she spends money on that instead of her basic needs. Consequently, this is viewed as a negative development.
To conclude, global dressing have influence on people's fashion due to its popular promotion and the development is considered to be not needed because of the financial risk imposed by it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain the influence through celebrity promotion and social pressure, and you clearly judge the development negatively. The financial-burden example involving a woman in poverty is relevant and helps illustrate your position. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. For instance, the claim that people experience an “identification crisis” and are viewed as outcasts is asserted rather than explained with a clear example or further reasoning. The negative effects are also concentrated mainly on spending, while the point that fashion has “no value” to a person is broad and needs qualification. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and specific support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph explaining how trends spread, a paragraph evaluating their effects, and a conclusion. The progression from causes to your opinion is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “In addition to this,” “For example,” and “To conclude” help signal relationships between ideas. This already gives the essay a coherent structure. To make the flow more consistently smooth, clarify some references: “this trends” and “it” in the opening paragraph do not always point clearly to a single idea. Some links also feel formulaic, particularly the repeated use of “negative development.” Use more precise referencing and connect explanations directly to the claims they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social media,” “financial burden,” “inferiority complex,” and “basic needs,” so the reader can understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the expression less natural. Examples include “big personality” for a famous person, “identification crisis” where the intended idea seems to be social pressure or a desire to fit in, and “global dressing.” There are also spelling errors such as “fashon.” Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check common word partnerships; this will help you express your ideas more clearly without relying on repeated general terms such as “trend” and “influence.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the cause-and-effect construction “People who are not following the trend will be viewed as outcast, which results them to follow the trend.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction recur. For example, “The standards … has” and “this trends have” show inconsistent subject–verb agreement, while “it have” should agree with its subject. The final example beginning “For example, a women…” is also not a complete, well-controlled sentence. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and build complex sentences with accurate clauses and agreement.
