Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is undeniable that in the modern world fashion becomes the most populor topic of discussion. In this regards, global fashion become strong influence on people's lives. This essay will be outlined not only both persectives but also my opinion with a logical conclusion.

On the one hand, these fashion trendy items are extremely expensive. Since global fashion converts into fast fashion, it dramatically effect the enviourment. For example, the brand shein stocks new cloths almost daily which leads to throw accumulation of old trendy clothes and this pollutes the enviourment. By the time these fashion trends slowly replace the traditional clothes.

On the other hand, global fashion trends changes the whole wordrobe. People feel confident when they wear fashion trendy dresses which is influenced by global fashion. The choice of clothing impacts their moods and make them outstand between others. These fashion trend shows their up to date personality. For example, employees in a office or company needs to dress smart, clean and classy because it shows the respect and reputation of the company. The choice of clothing describes your proffesion and your personality.

In conclusion, in my opinion it is positive development because in this generation looks matter in everyfield. The global fashion trends help people to build their outfits for looking confident and smart. However i believe that these trends should not turn into destruction of enviourment such as fast fashion. Since global fashion is everywear, we should not let them replace our tradition dresses and jewellary.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall opinion in the conclusion, calling global fashion a positive development, and you include relevant points about confidence, workplace clothing, environmental harm and traditional dress. However, the task asks specifically how global fashion became so influential, and this part is only lightly addressed: confidence and professional expectations describe its effects, rather than explaining the sources of its influence. The discussion also shifts between positive and negative points without fully developing either side, and the conclusion’s claim that appearance matters “in everyfield” is broad rather than supported. Develop the causes—for example, social media, advertising, celebrity influence or international retail—and explain your examples more fully so each part of the question is answered with a sustained, supported position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around contrasting views, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The first body paragraph moves from expense to fast fashion, pollution and the replacement of traditional clothing without explaining the links between these points. The introduction promises “both perspectives,” although the task asks how fashion became influential and whether this is positive or negative. Some references, such as “these fashion trend,” are also unclear. Build each paragraph around one main idea and use linking sentences to show how examples support it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “fast fashion,” “traditional clothes,” “confident,” “reputation” and “environment,” which gives the response some relevant range. However, the vocabulary is limited in precision, and repeated phrases such as “global fashion trends” and “fashion trendy” make the writing sound repetitive. Several spelling errors—“populor,” “enviourment,” “cloths” and “proffesion”—are noticeable, while expressions such as “throw accumulation” and “outstand between others” are difficult to understand or unnatural. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Learn accurate collocations for discussing influence and consumer behaviour, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would also help distinguish the causes of fashion’s influence from its effects.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms, including “Since global fashion converts into fast fashion, it dramatically effect the enviourment,” and you attempt to connect ideas with clauses such as “because it shows the respect and reputation of the company.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “fashion become,” “trends changes,” “employees … needs,” and “make them outstand.” The opening sentence, “This essay will be outlined not only both persectives,” is also structurally unclear. These errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and use a few accurate complex sentences rather than attempting structures you cannot yet control.
