Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is an ongoing discussion among the individual of our society that how many ascepts of the way people dress nowdays are influenced by global trends . there are many reason how strongly influenced it influences on people lives and there are both positive and negative points which tells us it is a positive or negative development.

first, talk about the positive development which is caused by the global fashion trends and influence on people's lives. it gives a knowledge to an individual how they should dress accordingly to different occassions which is held in an individual's daily lives. the fashion trend gives more knowledge about the clothes, fabrics and how they can make use of it to look more unique and centre of attraction in the society. some can find interest in this field can find a profession for themselves according to an individualk interest for example, if a person wants to become a fashion designer they should know about the different fields like they can be of two types one who used to stitch clothes and another one can make a new article different from todays fabrics.

These can influence global fashion trends in negative and cause a negative developments. if an adults started to spend more on his fashion which can increase his/her expense on fashion it can create iproblem in their financial managment. an individual should use a decent fashion trend according to society the fashion trends which they started to follow should not be very discomforting and revealing to the society. an individual should not use a dressing sense which makes him look unusual in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response attempts both parts of the question: it gives possible benefits and drawbacks, and its final paragraph indicates that you view global fashion as having negative effects as well as positive ones. However, the position is not clearly established, and the discussion of how global fashion became influential is largely missing. The positive points—that trends offer ideas about clothing and may lead to fashion careers—are relevant, but they are not explained with specific examples or developed reasoning. The negative paragraph focuses on spending and revealing or unusual clothing, without showing how global trends cause these outcomes. To strengthen the response, explain the mechanisms behind fashion’s influence, such as social media, celebrities, or international brands, then state a clear overall judgement and support it with examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic paragraph structure: an introduction is followed by a paragraph on positive effects and one on negative effects. The use of “first” and “for example” also signals some relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and the introduction’s repeated wording makes the main point difficult to follow. The positive paragraph moves from dressing for occasions to fabrics and then to fashion careers without clearly linking these ideas. The final paragraph similarly shifts from financial costs to social expectations. Some linking phrases, such as “These can influence global fashion trends in negative,” are unclear or inaccurate. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it in a logical sequence, and use clear references and transitions to connect the explanation to its example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “fabrics,” “fashion designer,” and “financial management,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “gives a knowledge” and “centre of attraction” do not express the intended ideas naturally, while “an individual” is repeated frequently. Spelling errors such as “ascepts,” “nowdays,” and “occassions” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing influence and consequences, and check spelling and common word partnerships. For instance, use “provides inspiration” rather than “gives a knowledge,” and “financial burden” rather than “expense on fashion.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to form longer sentences using clauses, including “if a person wants to become a fashion designer,” but control is weak and many sentences contain errors that make the message difficult to follow. The opening sentence has faulty structure (“among the individual … that how”), and the sentence beginning “there are many reason” has unclear agreement and clause construction. Other recurring problems include missing or incorrect articles and plurals, as in “an adults,” and verb-form errors such as “if an adults started.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, especially when joining ideas with “if,” “which,” or “and.”
