Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays many people are effected by global fashion trends, and how it has become so strong that people dress are strongly effected by global fashion trends.
First of all I will be talking about how this all started. It is started through social media people watch other people wearing different types of cloth and they also try it. When many people bought same clothes it become fashion trend and the people who don't have these want to buy these to become a part of fashion. It is a great business plan , for example if a brand has launched a cloth or a new design they will send this to social media creators and ask them to wear it and post on social media and people see's it on social media and order clothes. The main reason of this marketing is to make a new trend a earn a lot of money.
People have negative and positive impact on it like rich and advance people and people who do these type of clothing and wearing business thinks it is a good thing. At the same time some people think it is bad thing and it has negative impact on society.
In my opinion it have some negative effect on society. First one is that the people who can not afford these clothes or shoes feel depressed because they can not buy it and they feel bad about it. It is also changing our society because our culture is changing people are shifting from cultural clothes to western clothes. According to Islam It is haram to wear clothes like today people are wearing. People should focus on themselve not on fashion trends. In my opinion they should wear what they want or they have or they can easily afford, there is no need to be a part of useless fashion trend.
I have an example of my friend daughter she wanted a expensive cloth that is viral on internet but he does not have that much money on time so he sell his watch gift her clothes. This is so bad I feel very bad for him.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you explain the role of social media and influencer marketing, and you give a clear negative view, supported by concerns about affordability and cultural change. The example of the friend selling a watch also makes the personal impact concrete. However, the explanation of how fashion becomes influential is narrow and partly repetitive, focusing mainly on brands sending clothes to creators. The paragraph about people who see fashion positively is brief and does not explain that view, while the religious point is asserted rather than developed or linked clearly to the wider effects. Develop a broader range of causes and explain each supporting example more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has recognisable paragraphs, and the sequence from causes to effects and then your opinion gives it some organisation. Signposting such as “First of all” and “In my opinion” helps readers identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the opening repeats the idea that people are influenced by trends, and the paragraph beginning “People have negative and positive impact” does not lead smoothly into the next point. Connections between claims and examples are sometimes abrupt, particularly before the story about your friend. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect explanations and examples with clear references rather than relying mainly on basic signposts.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “social media creators,” “marketing,” “cultural clothes,” and “afford.” These choices make your main ideas understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “people,” “clothes,” and “fashion trend.” Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “a great business plan” for a marketing strategy and “a expensive cloth” for an expensive item of clothing. Spelling and word-form errors, including “effected” where “affected” is intended and “selve,” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise terms for influence, consumer behaviour, and cultural identity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic linking structures, but sentence patterns are limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “how it has become so strong that people dress are strongly effected” has an unclear structure, while “When many people bought same clothes it become fashion trend” contains problems with tense, articles, and agreement. There are also errors in “It is started through social media” and “In my opinion it have some negative effect.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, verb tense, articles, and sentence boundaries during editing.
