Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years , dress has become increasingly common .while some people believe that this trend has negative effects , i believe that it is negative development because its impact the social media , celebrities and online shopping . its encourages unnecassary spending and reduces cultural identity .
There are sveral reasons why influenced by global fashion -in modern era socail media is very popluar like tik tok , instgaram , you tube which people see in daily life to see the celebrities and other people to coply their lifestyle that are very expensive . For example, in oxford university depicted that from last five years people reduce their culture follow the modern life style
In my opinion , this is negative development for two main reasons . the first rason is that people may spend too much money on new clothes to follow the least trends . since fashion cjhanges evertime , they may feel the need to buy new outfit even they have the new clothes in the house . this can create the financial condition and increase the wastage of money .secondly .No one like to buy the traditional clothes that connects to our culture that reduce in the market. For example in my nation now we prefer the modern clothes everyday tos show our wealth rather than simple one .
To conclude -everything has postibve and negative development likewise fashion trends are various imapcts in youth in young life as well effects in our budget

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a clear negative position and give relevant reasons: social media and celebrities promote trends, while pressure to buy clothes can waste money and weaken cultural identity. These points address both the influence and its effects, but the explanation of how global fashion became influential is brief and the supporting examples are not convincing or sufficiently explained. The reference to “oxford university” gives no specific finding, and the final example about clothing in your nation needs clearer detail. The conclusion also does not clearly restate your view. The response is one word below the required minimum. Develop each main point with a specific, credible example and explain the link between global trends and people’s choices.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph about the causes, a paragraph explaining negative effects, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “For example,” “The first reason,” and “secondly” helps readers follow the main points. However, progression is uneven: the first body paragraph is short and its example is difficult to connect to the claim, while the conclusion introduces a vague summary rather than bringing the argument together. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent. Use one clear topic sentence per paragraph, connect each example explicitly to its point, and use a wider range of accurate linking phrases to make the argument flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion,” “celebrities,” “traditional clothes,” “cultural identity,” and “financial condition,” so the reader can identify your main concerns. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are unclear, such as “dress has become increasingly common,” “follow the least trends,” and “create the financial condition.” Frequent spelling errors, including “sveral,” “popluar,” and “cjhanges,” also make the writing harder to read. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, describe fashion as “increasingly influential,” refer to “the latest trends,” and explain that overspending can “put pressure on household finances.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast in the opening (“while some people believe…”) and a reason introduced with “since.” However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “i believe that it is negative development,” “its impact the social media,” and “even they have the new clothes in the house.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable, as in “secondly .No one.” Practise accurate articles, subject–verb agreement, pronouns, and clause construction. For instance, write “I believe this is a negative development because it is driven by social media” and “even when they already have new clothes at home.”
