Student answer (Band 5.5)
The increasing debate about the ordinary fashion being inspire by global trends is real and is indeed talking place with efficiency and speed. This kind uphealing towards fashion might seem at first as a rise of good sense of fashion. However I think this particular development is a negative one.
The simple and smooth answer of how global styling has becme such a strong influence on people is that it is because of the promotions which are nowdays being conducted. Becuase of such high and reachable promotions it is now also availbable to every person. Now that everyone is seeing it they will also talk about about it and that talking creates couriusness so people will start to buy and wear it. In cnclusion this process of promoting the product is how the global styling has influence on ordinary peoples.
There are several reasons why this development goes to show its a negative one. The primary and the biggest reason is less cultural exposure. These kind of fashion development slowly demolish cultures.Take for instance that you are going on a trip with your family to india and the goal behind this trip is to make ypur kid explore cultures and have the best cultural exposures. However when you get there and you and your family starts to see that they are also wearing the same attire as you. So inconclusion the biggest negative side of thiis development is less cultural exposure.
To conclude all indeed there are good asspects of global fashion and there are also good arguments for it. However i think this development is negative one because its has many negative influence on us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that global fashion is negative, and you address both how it spreads and one possible consequence. The explanation that promotion makes fashion visible, encourages discussion, and leads people to buy and wear it is relevant. However, the response develops this cause only briefly, and the cultural argument is largely repeated rather than extended. The India example is hypothetical and does not clearly show how local clothing or cultural practices would be affected. The conclusion also introduces “good aspects” without explaining them, which weakens the consistency of your position. To strengthen the response, explain the influence of advertising or social media in more detail and support the negative judgement with a specific, clearly connected example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can identify the main point in each section. You also use basic signposting such as “However,” “The primary,” and “To conclude.” However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph moves from promotion to visibility and buying, but the links are expressed repetitively, while the second repeats the claim about reduced cultural exposure. Some linking phrases are awkward or inaccurate, including “So inconclusion,” and repeated “because” constructions make the explanation feel mechanical. The conclusion does not clearly summarise the two main points. Use clearer topic sentences, develop each point in a sequence, and vary referencing and transitions so the argument progresses rather than circles back.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global trends,” “promotions,” “cultural exposure,” and “attire,” so the subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts difficult to understand. For example, “ordinary fashion being inspire by global trends” and “this kind uphealing towards fashion” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “reachable promotions” is also unclear. Spelling errors such as “becme,” “nowdays,” “curiousness,” and “asspects” are noticeable throughout. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than ambitious wording that does not fit the meaning. Proofread spelling and learn common collocations related to advertising, trends, and cultural identity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “when you are going on a trip,” and this shows an effort to explain ideas rather than list them. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “This kind uphealing towards fashion might seem” and “These kind of fashion development slowly demolish cultures,” where sentence structure, agreement, and number are not controlled. In “you and your family starts,” the verb does not agree with the compound subject, and “its has many negative influence” contains errors in pronoun form and singular/plural agreement. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building accurate clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and plural forms before adding complexity.
