Student answer (Band 5.0)
In present time people follow trends and copy life style of different people. Today, people are influenced by global fashion trends and i believe that it is a negative development i will discuss my point and will include relevant example from my own knowledge and experience.
Today life have become more complicated different developments made a huge impact in our lifestyle there was time when people were not insecure they had a real and indivisual personaility but today people get influenced by global trends,In many aspects of the way people dress today are influenced by global fashion trends people see trends on social media and get influence really fast people copy life style of others and follow some fashion trends to look elite but i believe in this way people will start loosing their personailty for example recently the trend of wearing loose dresses and baggy jeans were going on many get influenced and dress the same way .
Global fashion has become such a strong influence on people's lives through social media at first some celebrity wear such clothes but later in a short time many people dress like him but with the time it become a trend and many follows that i think that this is a negative development because in this way people will lose the ability to make choices every one has an indivisual personailty so people should not get influenced by someone else.
In conclusion, many people dress today according to global fashion trends because they get influenced by that through social media but in this way they will loose their style and personailty.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that global fashion is a negative development, and you identify social media and celebrity clothing as ways trends spread. The example of baggy jeans also relates to the topic. However, the task is only partially addressed: the explanation of how influence grows is brief, and the negative effects mainly repeat the idea that people lose their individuality, without developing other consequences or supporting the point in detail. The conclusion restates your position rather than adding a developed summary. The response is 247 words, so it is three words below the 250-word minimum; the 22 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop the causes and effects with a specific, explained example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow the central argument about social media, trends and individuality. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the first body paragraph moves from general changes in life to insecurity, social media and baggy jeans without clearly linking each point. The second body paragraph repeats several ideas from the first rather than extending the discussion. Linking phrases such as “but” and “for example” are used, but connections can feel mechanical, and some sentences run together, making relationships harder to follow. Give each paragraph a distinct purpose, use clearer sentence boundaries, and refer back to ideas precisely to improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “social media,” “celebrity” and “individuality,” so the main message is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “influenced,” “people” and “personality.” Some choices are imprecise or unnatural, such as “copy life style,” “look elite” and “wearing loose dresses and baggy jeans were going on.” Spelling errors, including “indivisual,” “personailty” and “loosing,” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise expressions for describing how trends spread and their effects, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “but” and “for example,” but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in “Today life have become” and “many follows that”; tense and sentence construction are also unclear in “at first some celebrity wear such clothes.” Articles and plurals are inconsistent, while missing full stops and capital letters create run-on sentences, particularly in the opening and first body paragraph. These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended relationships. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then combine them using subordinate clauses and check agreement, tense and punctuation.
