Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary ear, there is a heated argument over the issue that the impact of fashion on the lifestyle of the people globally. A majority of society favors it; however, the rest oppose it. From my point of view, I do partially support this topic.
The foremost argument to justify my stance is that celebrities have great control over global fashion trends nowadays, due to their enormous followers people always inspired from them and support their work. Furthermore, currently people has started wearing clothes like celebrities, and social media influencers because wearing styles are in high demand all around the world which used by popular influencer's. For exmaple, according to the famous article by Times Of India reported that the trends of wearing clothes in Pakistan was greatly dominated by Imran Khan who was a former cricket palyer as well as captain of Pakistan cricket team from 1991 to 2000.
On the flip side, there are few negatives of topic which are stated as people started compared their clothes to others wearing just to show themselves as more attractive and followers those who are influenced by their favourite celebrities then spend an large amount of money on clothes along with shopping. Moving further, due to unnecessary shopping people often obtain multiple loans to satisfy their desire. For instance, a survey of TIMES OF INDIA reported adults those are less than 30 age took multiple loans like personal loan and consume loan to fulfill their desires and to show off in front of others.
Finally, in a nutshell, the effect of global fashion trends on live's of the people, it has both aspects and due to following reason stated above in the paragraphs, I partially support this topic.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by identifying celebrities and social media as influences and discussing financial pressure as a drawback. Your position—“I do partially support this topic”—is stated, but it remains unclear whether you consider the overall development positive or negative, and the conclusion repeats the partial-support view without resolving it. The explanation of how trends spread is relevant, but points such as celebrities’ “enormous followers” and people copying their clothes need clearer development. The examples about Imran Khan and loans are presented as reports, yet their connection to the argument is not fully explained. To strengthen the response, state a definite overall judgement and develop each main point with a clear explanation of its effects.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about the influence of celebrities, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “Furthermore,” “On the flip side,” and “Finally” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from celebrity influence to demand for clothing styles and then to Imran Khan without fully connecting the example to the general point. The conclusion also repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer topic sentences and make each example explicitly support the point immediately before it; vary transitions rather than relying mainly on formulaic signposts.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “social media influencers,” “dominated,” and “multiple loans,” so the reader can follow the main subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “heated argument over the issue that the impact,” “people always inspired from them,” and “consume loan” do not express the intended meaning naturally. There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “exmaple,” “palyer,” and “live’s.” Aim to learn common collocations for discussing influence, consumer behaviour, and spending, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the causes and consequences of fashion trends.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “however” and a reason clause beginning “due to.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “people always inspired from them” needs a passive or active verb pattern, while “people has started” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The opening sentence is also incomplete in structure: “there is a heated argument over the issue that the impact…” does not form a clear grammatical clause. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each sentence has a complete main clause.
