Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days the people clothing styles are considerable topic to debate and overview because Majority of public following global fashion trends as i observed there is pros and cons which i would like to express .

The fashion industry is now a trillion dollar bussiness, so the hike of this industry observed in late 90s era where people getting influences by the way of dressing sense of Film actors, Politicians and bussinesman. The way of dressing up gives them very confident shape and good personality which is a very good thing but here the main vital role played by fashion industry now a days is high costing of clothes with low fabric or cotton material which is negative thing of development.

On one hand each and every sector today demanding uniform, clothes of different material. for influencing this industries are using platforms like social media, promotions by this way many youngster got influensed i observed one real life example where my one of friend using social media platflorm and he observed chealse boot are new trend just he buy it with getting influenced by platform like instagram.

At some extent i belive this is a good way to get ourself well dressed and influencing is not a bad thing but we should have to keep knowledge for what kind of dress suitable for us if we buy every product blindly it leads to waste of money.

To conclude this point i am agree with the way of influence by global fashion trends but we have to keep our image very clear by getting knowlege of dressing sense we dont have to follow every trenfd blindly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify social media and the influence of celebrities and public figures as reasons global fashion spreads, and you give a qualified view that it is positive when people dress well but negative when they buy blindly or face high costs. The example of your friend buying Chelsea boots after seeing them on Instagram helps make the influence concrete. However, some points are only briefly stated: the reference to uniforms and different materials is not clearly connected to global trends, and the claim about expensive clothes with poor fabric needs explanation or an example. Develop these ideas more fully and make your overall position clearer from the introduction onward to strengthen the response further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure, moving from an introduction to explanations, a personal example, your view, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps separate these stages, and phrases such as “On one hand” and “To conclude” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the discussion of industry growth, public figures, confidence, and clothing quality shifts quickly without clear links. Some transitions are also mechanical, and the opening sentence is hard to interpret. Use a clearer topic sentence for each paragraph, connect each supporting example directly to its main point, and use pronouns and linking phrases so the reader can follow the argument without having to infer connections.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “fashion industry,” “social media platform,” and “influenced,” and the reader can generally understand your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “hike of this industry,” “confident shape,” and “keep our image very clear.” Spelling errors, including “bussiness,” “influensed,” and “knowlege,” also make the writing less controlled. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing influence, consumer behaviour, and clothing quality, and check spelling carefully. Choosing natural collocations will help you express your ideas more clearly and avoid relying on repeated general words such as “good” and “thing.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast between the benefits and drawbacks of fashion and a conditional idea about buying products blindly. However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “Majority of public following global fashion trends” lacks a complete verb structure, while “i am agree” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Several sentences run together, particularly the opening and the sentence beginning “The fashion industry is now a trillion dollar bussiness.” Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, then use full stops to separate ideas and check articles and verb forms.
