Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify social media and influencer advertising as ways global fashion spreads, and you mention possible benefits such as self-expression, confidence, cultural exchange and economic growth. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: the explanation of how trends influence people is brief, and the positive effects are listed rather than explained with reasons or examples. The question also asks whether this is positive or negative, but your position is not clearly stated or supported, and the negative side is not considered. The response is 105 words, below the required 250-word minimum, so there is not enough development to answer all parts adequately. Build a clear position and explain each main idea with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces fashion, the next paragraph discusses social media and brands, and the final section lists benefits. This gives the reader some sense of the topics you intend to cover. However, the ideas are not arranged into a clear overall argument, and the final section reads like notes rather than a developed paragraph. Connections between points are also limited; for example, the move from influencer advertising to self-expression is abrupt. Use a clear introduction, separate body paragraphs for the causes and your evaluation, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “As a result” or “For example” can show how each point relates to your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “social media,” “influence,” “fashion trends,” “advertisement,” “self-expression,” and “cultural exchange.” These terms show an attempt to discuss both the spread of fashion and its effects. However, the range is basic and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “modren ear,” “differnet dress,” “plate from,” and “thier.” Phrases such as “try to new fashion” and “strong influence fashion trends” are also not natural collocations. Learn and use accurate topic phrases, for example “follow global fashion trends” and “promote clothing brands,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your ideas rather than list them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response mainly uses short, simple statements, such as “Some cloth brands use the influencer for advertisment thier product.” There is an attempt to form a longer sentence about social media, but sentence boundaries and punctuation are not controlled consistently. Several grammatical patterns are incomplete or inaccurate: “people try to new fashion” lacks a suitable verb pattern, and “people see and try to buy their products” has unclear reference to who “their” means. The list of benefits is presented as fragments rather than complete sentences. Practise building complete subject–verb sentences, then connect them with simple clauses using “because” or “which.” Accurate articles, plurals and punctuation will make your meaning easier to follow.
