Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's world, influence of fashion is increasing day by day, where the different aspects are noticed in the way of international fashion among the people. I strongly believe it has the positive development because it gives more idea about international fashion.

One of the main reason of global fashion is social media, individuals from different countries watch content of different countries and celebreties, who wear new fashion. Those new fashion can led to share the fashion scense globally. For example, when the new baggy jeans has arrived in the market it influenced to other peoples also. This makes a demand of a country and can manufactur there, therefore it will be positive impact for economy. As a result, new types of clothes will aslo accebile to new country and even earn money.

However, there are aslo some negative effects, some types of fashion can may impact on the culture of other country. While it is not a big problem, people of that particullar country will not adopt that fashion. The new types of fashion helps individual to express thir personalities. For instance, a person wearing formal clothes can may identify as an employee or a type of an uniform. Sari is identified as an indian fashion. These shows the culture and different personality of a person.

To conclude, there are many positive and negative impacts of global fashion , from my perspective it has a huge positive development because of it popularity, fashion choices and trends, social media and can be access place from different place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that global fashion is mainly positive, and you address both how it spreads and whether it is beneficial. Social media and celebrities are relevant explanations, while the example of baggy jeans illustrates how a trend can cross borders. However, the discussion of the economic benefit is difficult to follow, and the cultural effect is introduced but not clearly explained; the sari example shows cultural identity more than the impact of global fashion. The conclusion repeats your positive view but adds unclear points about fashion being accessible “from different place.” To strengthen the response, explain the process of influence more fully and develop each example so it directly supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. You also use basic signposting such as “For example,” “However,” and “To conclude,” which helps readers identify shifts in the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from social media to baggy jeans and then to manufacturing and economic benefits without making each link clear. In the second, the contrast introduced by “However” is followed by a positive point about self-expression, so the relationship between ideas is confusing. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkward. Group related points together and use clearer references and transitions to show how each example supports the paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global fashion,” “social media,” “celebrities,” “culture,” and “express their personalities.” These choices make the general subject clear. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make parts of the argument difficult to understand, such as “fashion scense,” “accebile,” and “can be access place.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “a demand of a country” and “positive development.” Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocation carefully. For example, describe how trends “spread internationally” and how they “influence consumer demand”; this would make your explanations clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “celebrities, who wear new fashion” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “when the new baggy jeans has arrived.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to follow. Examples include “One of the main reason … is,” “Those new fashion can led,” and “a person … can may identify,” which show problems with agreement, verb forms and modal construction. Articles and sentence structure also need attention, as in “influence of fashion is increasing.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their grammar.
