Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many aspects of the individuals dress today are inspired by global fashion trends.
I agree with this fact that global fashion trends inspire our outfit styles in many ways. Global fashion has such a strong influence on people's lives. People are easily manipulated or influenced by their surroundings. However, people are now so active on social media, and for that reason, people follow anything which is on trend nowadays. Which is a good thing either way. But day by day, we are learning new things and following new trends. There are a tons of new fashion trends which enhance our outfit look.
On the other hand. global fashion also has some negative impacts on our society. Our traditional old fashion trends are faded by the new fashion looks. Furthermore, people are forgetting their modesty while following these fashion trends which is so heartbreaking to hear. For example, I have lots of friends who were so modest but recently, they have been following the global fashion trends which is why, they are forgetting their tradition and culture. These fashion trends in many ways affect our culture as well. Our religious and modest cultures are being affected by western culture fashion.
Consequently, we should be more aware about following new trends. People have their own perspective about fashion, but we should not influence someone into anything which they do not prefer. We should respects everyone's culture and modesty. Although, we should as well be aware of not following any trend which can lower our culture standard.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: social media is identified as a way global fashion spreads, and you give a largely negative view because trends may weaken traditional and religious cultures. The example about friends changing how they dress helps make this concern concrete. However, the explanation of how fashion became influential remains limited: “people are now so active on social media” is relevant, but you could explain how influencers, advertising, or international brands expose people to trends and encourage purchases. Your position is also not fully consistent, since you call following trends “a good thing” before focusing on their harms, without clarifying your overall judgement. Develop the positive point or state clearly why the disadvantages outweigh it, then support each main idea more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from the influence of social media to cultural concerns and then to advice. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and connectors such as “However,” “Furthermore,” and “Consequently” show attempts to guide the reader. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear or repetitive: the first paragraph repeats that global fashion influences people, while the final paragraph shifts to general advice without clearly summarising your position. Some linking is also awkward, as in “On the other hand. global fashion,” where the punctuation interrupts the transition, and “Which is a good thing either way” is disconnected from the preceding sentence. Build each paragraph around one clear point and connect examples directly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “traditional,” “modesty,” “culture,” and “influence.” These terms make the subject clear, and phrases such as “negative impacts on our society” communicate your concern. However, vocabulary is often repetitive, particularly “fashion trends,” “following,” and “people,” and some combinations are unnatural or imprecise. For example, “enhance our outfit look” and “lower our culture standard” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “outfit styles” is also less idiomatic than “styles of dress.” Aim for more precise collocations and vary repeated terms with expressions such as “international styles,” “adopt trends,” or “cultural traditions.” This would make your argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “which,” “while,” and “although,” so there is some structural variety. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, sentence boundaries, and punctuation recur. Examples include “There are a tons” (incorrect article and plural agreement), “we should respects” (verb agreement), and the fragment “Which is a good thing either way.” The opening phrase “Many aspects of the individuals dress” also has an incorrect possessive form. Punctuation is inconsistent, as in “On the other hand. global fashion.” Practise forming complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, possessives, and clause boundaries. More accurate control of these basics would make your meaning easier to follow.
