Student answer (Band 4.5)
Most of the people now a days are influenced by global fashion trends and they tried to where these stuffs. Now, there are many celebrities in the world and people followed them in different social media platforms and they also wanted to copy them. These fashion trends have both positive and negative affects on peoples lives.I would like to discuss both views in this essay.
In the beginning of this essay i would like to write that, now this is the age of social media and when a famous celebrity wear a new dress so it become a fashion every where and peoples who followed them tried to wear these dresses.
Many adults also follow these trends and in this way they spent a lot of money there cloths, sometimes they lent money from others to meet with the running trends and in this way it's a negative development in our society.
Moreover when a global fashion trend is in trending people followed these trends. for example now a days people should follow many celebrities and many more now a days people become famous very easily because of many social media platforms and people also get new ideas from these celebrities. So it is a positive influence.
In my view global fashion trends have both positive and negative affects on peoples lives. When a new dress becomes famous,it attracts many customes and in the same time some indivisuals took loans to meet with these running trends.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both questions: you identify social media and celebrities as drivers of global fashion, and you describe both benefits and drawbacks. However, the explanation of how trends spread is brief, and the positive side is especially unclear: “people also get new ideas from these celebrities” does not explain why this is beneficial. Your position also shifts between discussing both sides and giving a clear overall judgement; the conclusion repeats that there are positive and negative effects without stating which you consider more significant. The response is 244 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum. Develop each main idea with a specific explanation or example, and state your overall view clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a concluding paragraph, and the reader can identify the main topics of social media, spending and celebrity influence. However, progression is limited: the second body paragraph focuses on the negative effects, while the next moves to a positive point but repeats the idea that people follow celebrities without developing it. Phrases such as “In the beginning of this essay” and “Moreover” signal stages, but do not always show the precise relationship between ideas. The example beginning “for example now a days” is difficult to follow and does not clearly support the point. Organise the essay around distinct reasons and effects, use clearer links between claims and examples, and make the conclusion follow from the discussion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “celebrities,” “social media platforms” and “negative development,” so the general meaning is usually understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “people,” “trends” and “now a days.” Some inaccurate choices and spelling errors make the writing less clear, such as “where these stuffs,” “affects” where you mean effects, “cloths,” “customes” and “indivisuals.” There are also unnatural combinations such as “meet with the running trends.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe people as “adopting current styles” and money as being “spent on fashionable clothing.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example with “when” and “because,” and the basic message can generally be understood. However, sentence structures are limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “Most of the people … are influenced … and they tried,” where the verb forms do not agree in tense, and “when a famous celebrity wear a new dress so it become a fashion,” which has errors in agreement and sentence construction. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in lowercase “i” and run-on sentences joined by commas. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build complex sentences with one clear main clause and correctly matched verb forms.
