Student answer (Band 5.5)
It has been observed that global fashion plays an important role in people's lives. There are several reason why global has become popular because of the social media. I find the given notion logically sound and my views regarding the statement to a greater extent. I will highlight these point in subsequent paragraph, which will lead to a logical conclusion.
To commence with, social media is the main platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok allow people to see the latest fashion trends from different countries. Some young people follow celebrities and try to copy their styles. The second reason is international clothing breands through the advertise their products oline and make avaliable in many countries. As a result, people can easily buy fashionable cloths from different parts of the world.
I believe this development has several advantages. The main benefit is that they have more choices and can express their personalities through clothing. For instance, people who live in India can wear Western clothes, while people who live in Canada can enjoy traditional Indian clothing.
However, global fashion also has some disadvantages. Many individuales spend too much money on expensive clothes because they want to follow new trands. Some young people has also pressure to wear fashionable outfits to fit in with their friends. This can lead unnecessary spending and lack of confidence.
To conclude the discussion, it can be said despite the fact that global fashion has become popular mainly because of social media, celebrities, and international brands. Althought, it can incourage people spend too much money on new trends.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain the influence of social media, celebrities and international brands, and you discuss benefits and drawbacks. Your position is broadly positive, while acknowledging disadvantages, but it is not stated consistently: the opening says the notion is “logically sound,” whereas the conclusion mainly mentions overspending and does not clearly restate your overall judgement. The examples about people in India and Canada illustrate cultural exchange, but the explanation of how this benefits people could be clearer. The points about pressure and spending are relevant, though they would be stronger with a specific example or further explanation. Develop the causes and your final evaluation more fully, and make your position explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a discussion of advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through your ideas. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly “To commence with” and “To conclude the discussion,” and the opening promises points that are not clearly organised into a complete argument. The advantages and disadvantages are placed together in one paragraph, which makes the shift in focus less clear. Some connections between sentences also need tightening: “The second reason” follows the social-media point, but the sentence about brands is difficult to follow. Use clearer paragraphing for benefits and drawbacks, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “fashion trends,” “celebrities,” “international brands,” “express their personalities,” and “lack of confidence.” These choices help communicate the main ideas. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “breands,” “oline,” “cloths,” “trands,” and “individuales.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “the main platforms” and “wear fashionable outfits to fit in with their friends.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall message, but they reduce precision and control. Check spelling carefully and build more natural collocations for discussing advertising, consumer choices and social pressure.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and most of the main ideas remain understandable. However, errors in sentence structure and agreement occur in several places. For example, “There are several reason why global has become popular” has a plural agreement error and an incomplete reference, while “Some young people has also pressure” has incorrect agreement and an incomplete grammatical pattern. The opening sentence about social media and platforms is also difficult to parse because its clauses are not connected clearly. In the conclusion, “despite the fact that” is left without a complete main clause, and “can encourage people spend” is missing a grammatical link. Practise complete clause structures, subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence.
