Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by naming social media and celebrities as influences, then presenting negative effects on cultural values and affordability alongside positive effects such as choice and social interaction. However, the explanation of how these influences operate is brief, and several claims need clearer support—for example, how fashion trends reduce caste or racial disputes. Your position is also not fully consistent: you say the development has negative effects, but the conclusion only mentions connection between people and does not restate whether you consider it positive or negative. The response is 16 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop examples and explain your judgement. A clearer, consistently stated position and more specific supporting examples would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for negative and positive effects, and a conclusion. The contrastive openings “On the one hand” and “on the other hand” help readers follow the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are joined without clear explanation, such as the move from global fashion options to increased confidence and then reduced disputes. Linking phrases such as “through this way” are repeated and sometimes do not show the precise relationship between ideas. The conclusion is also too brief to bring the argument together. Use clearer topic sentences, vary linking expressions, and make each sentence build logically on the previous one.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “cultural values,” “promoting,” and “social communication.” These choices show that you can express the main subject and some effects. However, the range is limited and many spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make parts difficult to understand, including “celebrates,” “diierent,” “demorlizing,” and “mutalln connection.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “designs are not appropriate according to our Asian culture” and “extra charges for promoting.” Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for influence, affordability, cultural identity, and social interaction would help communicate your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast between positive and negative effects and clauses beginning with “as.” However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors frequently make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “Most important influence on people's lives role are celebrates” has an unclear structure and incorrect agreement, while “it increase confidence” and “global fashion has create” use incorrect verb forms. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “cost are not in range..” and “everyone.as.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Proofread each sentence for verb form, agreement, and sentence boundaries.
