Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people argue that many aspects of the way people dress today are influencef by global fashion trends. I strongly believe that it is negative development, because it affects people's ability of decision making.
Initially, we will look into how global fashion trends are made, and how it influence on people. So, fashion trends are made by fashion brands, and promoted by fashion influencers and models. And it influence on people's choices. For example, as people followes influencers they do paid promotion for new fashion trends, and this is done in bulk. so people tend to get influenced by those, and purches there dress and accessory accordingly. Then as people refuse to buy out of date clothes other smaller retailers also change there stocks, and then you experience that most of people weare same types of clothes everywhere.
Similarly, it also affects people,s ability of making decision, as people do not purches by themselves they are influenced to do that. For instance, what people purches nowadays is just based on social media algorithem which was set by influencers and global fsahion brands. And if some people left behind in this trend they exprience being juged by others, so they buy what others like not what they like and this is how there decision making ability is out sourced and they relay on others approvel for simpel things in life. Like these it affects people's lives negatively.
In conclusion, i think what to dress like shold not be influenced by short term trends, and people' decision. these is the reson why i think this trends affects people negatively.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain how brands and influencers promote trends, and you clearly state that their influence is negative because it can weaken independent decision-making. The examples about paid promotions, retailers changing their stock, and people fearing judgement are relevant. However, the explanation of how trends become influential is more developed than the discussion of their wider effects, and some claims—such as social-media algorithms being “set by influencers”—need clearer explanation or support. Your conclusion repeats your position but does not draw together the main reasons. Develop each key point with a specific example and explain its consequences more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally follow a sensible order. Linking expressions such as “Initially,” “Similarly,” and “For instance” help signal stages in the argument. However, progression within sentences is sometimes difficult to follow, and connectors can feel mechanical. The first body paragraph moves from brands to influencers, purchasing, retailers and clothing uniformity without clearly showing how each step connects. References such as “those” and “this” are not always precise, while the conclusion introduces the unclear phrase “people’ decision.” Use clearer topic sentences, connect cause and effect explicitly, and check that each pronoun has an unmistakable reference.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “fashion brands,” “paid promotion,” “out of date clothes,” “social media algorithm,” and “decision making.” These choices make your main ideas understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling and form errors reduce precision, including “purches,” “there dress,” “fsahion,” “juged,” and “approvel.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “ability of decision making” and “decision making ability is out sourced.” Aim to use accurate collocations and vary repeated words such as “people,” “buy,” and “influenced.” Proofreading spelling and choosing more precise expressions would make the argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if some people left behind in this trend they exprience being juged by others.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur often enough to make some passages awkward. For example, “how it influence on people” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “as people do not purches by themselves they are influenced to do that” needs clearer clause structure and punctuation. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “it is negative development” and the run-on sequence beginning “So, fashion trends are made.” Practise accurate clause linking, verb patterns and punctuation while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
