Student answer (Band 5.5)
In contemporary society, people had distinct opinons about global fashion trends . Many people believe that individual dress today are influenced by global fashion trends is a positive development, while others argue that it is a negative development. I firmly believe that people dress recently influenced by global fashion trend is a negative development because they may forget their own cultural dress and the ecomony has bad impact, due to the import of dresses from another country.
On the one hand, some people think that global fashion is the negative development, because people may not remember thier own traditional clothes in the future for example, Indian people traditional clothes is dhoti kurta but nowadays no body want to wear they mostly wear jeans and shirt, this will resulting their tradition clothes demand descrease in future no dhoti kurta are seen in trghe market and they become extinct. Furthermore, global fashion trends also increase import for instance india import 90% of the clothes from another country in 2025. Therefore, the foreign reserve goes out fro india and india has to convert more money into dollar and the currency value of india drop.
On the other hand, some people believe that globil fashion is the positive development, on the ground that they get exposure of different nations for cultutre instance now a days indians are in the word who are famalier witrh different countries culture, but this argue is not much important.
In conclusion, although some people belive that people dress tody are greatly influenced by global fashion trend is positive development, I strongly belive that it is negative develiopment because people may forget their own cultural clothes and import become high in country thats an bad development of a country .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position in the introduction and conclusion: you consider global fashion a negative development, mainly because it may weaken cultural dress and increase clothing imports. These points are relevant, and the example of Indian traditional clothing gives the response some support. However, the task is only partly addressed: it asks how global fashion became such a strong influence, but you do not explain the causes, such as social media, advertising, or international brands. The positive side is mentioned only briefly, and the claim about cultural exposure is not developed. The economic argument also needs clearer explanation and reliable support. Develop both parts of the question with specific, explained reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers identify the sections. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear. The first body paragraph begins by calling global fashion negative, then combines cultural change and imports without a clear link between them. The second paragraph introduces a positive view but ends abruptly with “this argue is not much important,” rather than explaining the point or connecting it to your position. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not accurately show the relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it in sequence, and use clearer references and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “traditional clothes,” “foreign reserve,” and “currency value,” which helps communicate your main concerns. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “the ecomony has bad impact,” “their tradition clothes demand descrease,” and “people dress recently influenced.” Some expressions are repeated, particularly “negative development” and “global fashion.” Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, describe the effect as “harmful to the economy” and say that demand for traditional clothing “may decline.” This would make your argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast structure using “while.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “people had distinct opinons” uses an unsuitable tense, while “individual dress today are influenced” has problems with agreement and sentence construction. In “Indian people traditional clothes is dhoti kurta,” the possessive relationship and subject–verb agreement are unclear. Long sentences joined by commas, such as the opening sentence of the first body paragraph, also need clearer punctuation and structure. Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine ideas using subordinate clauses and appropriate punctuation.
