Student answer (Band 4.5)

In contemporary society, this fashionable time is such a strong time that influenced people's alot and the notion that the dress people mostly likes and also buy from influencers from social midea has sparked considerable debate. While some contend that this is also a part of a fraud, this assertion is completly positive, and I am firmly convinced that this statment is positive. The most compelling reason behind my view is that they only want to sell their products. This is primarily attributed to the new genration view because new generation want to buy that thik that suit on them and the influencers start to make the videos of their products and posted into social media and all the people see them and run to buy their things. A clear illustration of this is this generation only believe in social media. Consequently, what they saw on social media they admire that fashion. It is therefore evident that todays fashions were also approved by the government of the differents countries like (India, Usa, Japan) etc. Another convincing justification for this stance is that todays kids want freedom in all things. This is due to the restrictions applied on his parents they don't want that same boring life. A prime example of this is there parents applied same things that applied by there parents. As a result, they succeeded in there life but not in there pasions. Admittedly, proponents often argue that this generation only want clothes like (Baggy, bell bottem, boot cut) etc. However, this argument is myopic on the grounds that it fails to consider the fashion of there parents time. In reality, the fashion of there parents time is almost the same fashions but in new form. Hence, this contention is ultimately unpersuasive. In conclusion, I would argue that all the shopkeeper only want to sell there items is paramount for not by only put the items in the shop also influenced that products. due to social media. Therefore, it is imperative that statement is positive on the grounds that it is decidedly more beneficial for society. But almost they can't effect the global fashion and also there is no restrictions on any one, we can wear anythings we want.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear positive position, particularly in the opening and conclusion, and you attempt to explain how social media and influencers spread fashion. However, the response only partially addresses the question: the explanation of how global trends become influential is repetitive and not clearly developed, while the positive evaluation is difficult to identify. For example, saying influencers “make the videos of their products” and people “run to buy” them is relevant, but the link to global fashion trends needs clearer explanation. The points about young people wanting freedom and parents’ fashion are also not convincingly connected to whether this development benefits society. Develop one or two relevant reasons and support each with a specific, clearly explained example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, supporting discussion, a counterargument and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Consequently,” “Admittedly,” and “In conclusion” show an effort to guide the reader. However, ideas are not arranged in a consistently logical progression, and some connections are unclear. For instance, the claim that fashion trends are “approved by the government” appears without explanation, and the paragraph moves from influencers to government approval and then to children’s freedom. The conclusion also introduces shopkeepers without clearly linking this point to the earlier argument. Use separate paragraphs for the causes and your evaluation, and make each sentence develop the paragraph’s main idea rather than adding a loosely related claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some topic-related and evaluative vocabulary, including “global fashion,” “influencers,” “restrictions,” “myopic,” and “unpersuasive.” These choices show an effort to go beyond very basic language. However, the range is limited by repetition and frequent inaccurate or unnatural word choices, which sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “this fashionable time,” “this assertion is completely positive,” and “the fashion of their parents’ time” do not express your intended ideas precisely. Spelling errors, including “social midea,” “genration,” and “pasions,” also reduce clarity. Build a more reliable set of collocations for discussing influence and social change, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “While,” “because,” and “that,” as well as a concession beginning “Admittedly.” This shows some range. However, complex sentences are often not controlled, and errors in agreement, verb forms, pronouns, articles and sentence boundaries frequently make the message harder to understand. For example, “new generation want” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “what they saw on social media they admire” has an unclear clause structure. The final sentence also joins several ideas without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add a subordinate clause; check agreement and pronoun references before combining ideas.
