Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, Many aspects of the way people dress are influenced by global fashion trends. Today, people are impressed by global fashion trends and dress like such trends.
To begin with, the majority of people has changed their dressing sence after watching the global fashion. At present, global fashion has become such a strong influence on people's lives. However, the reason is that individuals watched new fashion through social media platforms such as tiktok, instagram and youtube. Moreover, they thought that we should adopt this new trend and we should chane our attire. That's why, this trend become a great influence on people's lives.
From my prespective, this devolopment has both positive and negative aspects. On the one hand, by adopting this, citizens may forget their own culture and tradition. They probbably chose global fashion rather than the fashion of their ancestors. On the other hand, there is an opportunity to know about other culture. Additionally, may very beneficial for textile as this devolopment rise the sale.
In conclusion, I would say that this devolopment will have positive impact on people's lives as they can learn a lot about what type of attires does the other countries used. Eventually, the fashion designer will also have a great rise in reputation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both parts of the question: social media is identified as a reason global fashion spreads, and you give a mixed view before concluding that the development is positive. However, the response is only 201 words, so it falls 49 words short of the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt are not counted. This limits how fully you can explain your ideas. The points about losing cultural traditions, learning about other cultures, and increasing textile sales are relevant, but they are asserted rather than supported with examples or explanation. Your final positive position also sits somewhat uneasily beside the earlier balanced view. Develop the causes and effects with specific examples and make your overall judgement consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph about causes, a paragraph presenting positive and negative effects, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the one hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: several sentences repeat that global fashion is influential without adding a new step to the argument. “Moreover” introduces a point that is not clearly connected to the preceding sentence, and “Additionally, may very beneficial” lacks a clear subject, making the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each claim to its explanation or example. This would make the overall organisation clearer and cohesion less mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “social media platforms,” “culture and tradition,” and “textile.” This gives the response enough language to communicate its main ideas. However, the range is limited and some wording is repetitive, particularly repeated references to “global fashion” and “people’s lives.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “dressing sence,” “prespective,” “devolopment,” and “prob bably” (written as “probbably”), which reduce accuracy and polish. Some phrases are unnatural, including “adopting this” and “a great rise in reputation.” Aim for more precise collocations and vary repeated terms—for example, refer to “international styles” or “fashion trends” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast structure in “On the one hand … On the other hand” and a reason clause beginning “because” in the discussion of social media. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “the majority of people has changed” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “this trend become” and “this development rise” use incorrect verb forms. The sentence “Additionally, may very beneficial” is incomplete because it has no clear subject or finite verb. In the conclusion, “what type of attires does the other countries used” has faulty question structure and verb form. Practise accurate clause construction, agreement, and tense control before adding more complex sentences.
