Student answer (Band 5.0)
People dress are influenced by global fashion trends. I totally agree with this statement. Global fashion has become a strong influence on people's lives. It can easily be observed through their get up. Previously it was just electronic media that had strong influence on people's lives but from when social media is established and it is under reach of almost every person of all age group, it is effecting more.Particularly, the specific apps e.g Tiktok, Instagram, Snapchat these are more responsible in making changes.
In my opinion it has more negative influences then positive.
For exapmle, it has been noticed that social media's global fashion trends is one of the reasons of many conflicts. The immature minds started to follow the trend without considering their cultural. ecomonical and family background.Furthermore it is responsible of unfair comparison, people have been started to follow global fashion trends while comparing themselves with celebrities. The results becomes wrost when they fail to compete them.
Moreover following global fashion trend is damaging innocent people. They become more vulnerable. It brings negative outcomes on their mental health.Last but not least, to follow global fashion trends impacts on economy directly. For example people started to follow global fashion, Bandana in Asian countries e.g Pkistan,India. Bandana is hear acessory, everyone started to buy it either they need it or nor.
Some people say global fashion is influencing people's life positively. They get chance to groom their personality and it is enhancing Gen Z's aura . Without adopting such trends they will loose their vibes.
But in my opinion. global fashion trends are effecting people more negatively then positively.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that global fashion has a stronger negative than positive effect, and you address both the influence of social media and the positive side of self-expression. However, the task asks both how global fashion became influential and whether this is positive or negative. The explanation of how is brief: you mention TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat, but do not explain in detail how exposure, influencers or online sharing turns trends into everyday choices. The negative points—cultural mismatch, comparison with celebrities, mental health and spending—are relevant, but several are asserted rather than supported with clear examples. Develop fewer points more fully and make the link between each example and your position explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting negative effects, a brief opposing view and a concluding opinion. This helps the reader identify your position. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several points are joined mainly by repeated transitions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover” and “Last but not least.” The sentence about “Bandana in Asian countries” appears suddenly and its connection to economic impact is not fully explained. The positive view is also very short compared with the negative discussion. Group related ideas, use clearer topic sentences, and explain how each example follows from the point before it to create a more consistent line of argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “cultural,” “comparison,” “vulnerable” and “mental health,” so the main ideas can generally be understood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “under reach,” “unfair comparison,” “damaging innocent people” and “enhancing Gen Z’s aura.” Spelling errors, including “exapmle,” “ecomonical,” “wrost” and “acessory,” also make the writing less clear. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, explain that social media makes trends widely accessible, rather than saying they are “under reach,” and describe the specific harm rather than using broad wording such as “damaging.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Previously” and a sentence beginning “Furthermore.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “People dress are influenced,” “it is effecting more,” “The results becomes,” and “people have been started to follow.” There are also run-on or poorly punctuated sentences, particularly in the opening, where several ideas are joined without clear sentence boundaries. Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and use a full stop or a suitable conjunction to separate complete ideas. More reliable control of these structures would make your argument easier to follow.
