Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people have access to wide range of platforms streaming global styles. Many people attire is dominated by the global fashion trends. This essay will provide justification for the strong influence of fashion trends on people's live. From my perspective, it is a postive trend.
One among the main reasons of its powerfull influence is, the screening of fashion on social media platforms . Such as Instagram which grabs our attention with colourfull reels and helps us to purchase things across the world with just a link in comments. As people feels easy to access the products they greatly admire it. Furthermore, fashion icons who participate in global fashion weeks are well-known personalities which have large fan base, the fans follows them in every aspects of activity they do. For instance, Salman Khan a global fashion icon impress his fans with his new styles and outfits which is followed by people.
The main reason to support this development is, it increases uniformity among international and domestic citizens as it allows us to follow the dressings of other countries. Which promotes equaltiy and sense of belonging among people. Moreover, it helps us to understand the cultural aspects of other religions or states. Each people have their own traditional and cultral way of dressing. For example, people in china dressup woth their cultural gowns with hair tied in buns, people sees it on instagaram and tries the same on them, this helps us to understand in detail about china's culture and believes.
In conclusion, fashion trends strongly reflects designs of outfits people wear because of the availablity of social platforms and influence by famous personalities. This is a positive development as it has two key reasons such as, uniformity in people across the world and exploration of worldwide cultures.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain the influence of social media and fashion personalities, and you clearly state that you view the trend positively. The examples of Instagram and Salman Khan make the causes more concrete, while your points about cultural awareness and belonging support your opinion. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that global fashion creates “uniformity” and “equality” needs a clearer link to how shared clothing styles produce these outcomes. The China example illustrates cultural exposure, but its connection to the broader benefits of global fashion could be developed further. Explaining each main point with a specific consequence would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on causes and benefits, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from social media to fashion icons, then to cultural effects, is generally easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion,” and the paragraphing supports the main stages of the argument. To make the organisation more fluent, avoid sentence fragments and unclear links. “Such as Instagram” is not a complete sentence, and the sentence beginning “Which promotes equality” is detached from the idea it refers to. Some transitions, including “The main reason” before listing two benefits, do not accurately signal the structure. Clearer sentence connections and more precise referencing would strengthen cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to fashion and global influence, including “fashion icons,” “fan base,” “traditional,” and “cultural aspects.” These choices help communicate the topic, but the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision. Examples include “people attire,” “screening of fashion,” “dressings,” and “believes,” where the intended meaning is not expressed naturally. Misspellings such as “postive,” “equaltiy,” and “availablity” also affect the accuracy of the writing. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; for instance, use “clothing choices” rather than “dressings,” and “fashion content on social media” rather than “screening of fashion.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “as” and “which,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in subject–verb agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and clause construction. Examples include “people feels,” “the fans follows,” and “Salman Khan … impress his fans,” where the verb forms do not agree with their subjects. “Such as Instagram” is a fragment, while “Which promotes equality” is also an incomplete sentence. The opening phrase “people have access to wide range” needs an article. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and main verb, and connect dependent clauses to complete sentences. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
