Student answer (Band 6.0)
The current dressing of individuals is greatly influenced by the trending fashions worldwide. One of the biggest reason behind it is social media platforms, which in my opinion is a negative development as it pose a greater pressure on parents of young individuals to meet their changing requirements of clothing and acessories.
With the advancements in communication technology the digital media has become one of the strong factor in the development of personalities of young adults. Many teenagers rely on these social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook, for their grooming and daily wear by idealizing some influential people. Companies use these platforms for promotions and advertisements of their latest collection through the globally renowned celebrities. Youngsters following these celebrities are enchanted to dress themselves in the same way.
The changing trends put a great amount of burden on the parents of young people specially, to provide them the latest collections of clothes, shoes and other accessories. Many middle class families are not able to fullfill these interests of their children together with basic necessities. Failing to do so might create hatred in young adults for their parents. Moreover, these individuals also find themselves lacking behind others in terms of fashion, creating a social barrier based on the followers of fashion trends.
In conclusion, the fashions trends has impose a strong influence on the lives of many people through social media by following various recognized people of the world. Hence creating disruptions in the lives of low grade families who find it difficult to blend with the other trend followers in the society, therefore creating social barrier among them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses both parts of the question: it identifies social media and celebrity promotion as reasons global fashion spreads, and clearly presents this influence as negative because it can pressure families and create social divisions. These are relevant ideas, and the examples of Instagram, Facebook and middle-class families help make the argument understandable. However, the explanation of how fashion becomes influential is less developed than the discussion of its effects; for example, you could explain more specifically how repeated exposure to trends encourages people to copy them. The claim that unmet clothing expectations may create “hatred” is also asserted rather than supported. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation or a concrete example to make the response more fully convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states the cause and your position, two body paragraphs explain the influence and its consequences, and a conclusion restates the argument. This makes the main line of reasoning easy to follow. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. The conclusion begins “Hence creating disruptions,” which is a sentence fragment rather than a complete continuation, and “therefore creating social barrier” repeats the preceding point without adding a clear final implication. The link between celebrity promotion and young people copying clothing could also be made more explicit. Use cohesive devices to show relationships between ideas, but ensure each sentence is complete and that the conclusion synthesises rather than repeats the body paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “social media platforms,” “promotions and advertisements,” “latest collections,” and “social barrier.” These choices communicate the subject clearly, and terms such as “influential” and “necessities” show an attempt to use more formal language. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “current dressing,” “strong factor,” “lacking behind,” and “low grade families.” There are also spelling errors in “acessories” and “fullfill,” and “fashions trends” is an awkward form. These issues do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Focus on standard collocations and check spelling and word forms when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “platforms, which in my opinion…” and a longer sentence explaining how companies promote collections. The overall meaning is generally clear, but some errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction remain. For example, “One of the biggest reason” should use a plural noun, while “it pose” needs a verb agreeing with “it.” In the conclusion, “the fashions trends has impose” contains errors in both agreement and verb form, and “Hence creating disruptions” is a fragment. Review subject–verb agreement and ensure that introductory linking phrases lead into complete sentences. More accurate control of these structures would make your argument smoother.
